Nets Two Worst Roster Experiences

Which roster experience was more painful and had higher hopes for? [https://nothinbutnets.com/2023/10/21/the-nets-worst-roster-experiments-brooklyn-era/](https://nothinbutnets.com/2023/10/21/the-nets-worst-roster-experiments-brooklyn-era/)

Idk, all of them except the kidd era?

The KG and Paul Pierce trade was the more painful experience because of the aftermath and dearth of draft picks. The franchise itself lost the opportunity to grow a fan base in Brooklyn while also losing out on the next generation of stars. The best way to grow a core group of fans is to have that young guy who is up next who kids can grow with

The KD/Kyrie/Harden trio is more disappointing on the court because they were actually unstoppable

    Whew…tough one. I don’t know.

The KD era, at least when it was done, it’s not as disastrous the KG/PP era. We actually have assets moving forward, where we had none before.

The KG era was fun for half a season. But the consequences were disastrous. Felt like one of those payday loans.

The KD era, also fun for about half a season but it felt like dating a hot woman who was batshit crazy. I’ve been there. I have PTSD from that. I hate that we talked about so much non-basketball stuff but most of all I hate that it ended out of selfishness. What should’ve been a great run was ruined by egos. The older I get, I realize chips are really hard to come by and we should’ve had several title runs, but ruined by flakes. Butter soft stars. Harden quitting on the team, Kyrie just never being fully committed. I feel like I hate that era.

TL;DR The first try was worse for the franchise. We were left with nothing. The second version felt more miserable but at least we got a solid haul going forward.

The KD/Kyrie era because it cost us a legitimately fun and likable squad. I don’t think my heart has ever fully healed since reading what we gave up for Harden. Just a huge mess. Grateful for the direction things look to be going now.
