If he averages like 7 rebounds and 2.5-3 blocks per game does that make him a DPOY candidate given the voter’s love of counting stats? I’d imagine rookie DPOY narrative both helps and hurts (but probably more helps).

All I know is I watched that dude block Klay, Steph and Wiggins all in the same game. And they looked quite confused.

He plays with a lot of confidence already and it’s clear that he’s still very raw. Same vibes as LeBron his first few games. His ceiling is definitely the best player of his generation, at least if he manages to stay healthy, which is a big if with mobile giants.

Yeah I agree. After that debut it’s evident that if he’s healthy we are possibly seeing the birth of the apex of an nba player. You don’t ever see anyone his size play like how he does. His shot looks good and if he ever gets to a 33-35% 3 point shot consistently I don’t see how he won’t win multiple rings and mvps, again barring health.

Game recognizes Game. Wemby is something these guys have never seen and doing things they’ve never seen either…in preseason in his first NBA action as a rookie. He’s fascinating and anyone who likes ball is gonna appreciate it.
