  1. I’m hoping for more a Kings or OKC like jump of 18 or 16 games than an Orlando 12 game jump. If you believe this was really more of a 22 win team last season, that brings them close to being a play in team. Optimistic? Most definitely. But with the right trade or two possible as the jumps last year cited above show.

  2. If Isaiah Stewart is your starting power forward this team will go 25-57. Terrible in the pick and roll due to his inability to set hard screens and lack of a reliable outside shot. Also one of the worst isolation defenders in the league by the metrics because he’s too undersized to guard opposing 7 footers and lacks the athleticism and lateral quickness to keep up with starting wings and power forwards in one on one matchups. Starting him will stunt the development of Cade as opposing defenses will simply hound him every time he drives the lane. In a league where floor spacing and an effective pick and roll game are the building blocks for a successful offense, Isaiah Stewart will soon become a cancer to this team (with his play, not his attitude) should he be declared a starter.
