The cole extension truly reflects the FO and the teams investment in forming a champ team. We didn't overpay. Cole didn't leave for more money. We didn't let our hearts and understanding of Cole's skills influence the bigger picture.
Philip…tell us how you really feel. I know you have to be "realistic" for the show. I call it setting the bar extremely low. If the Magic have no significant injuries this year, where do the Magic finish? I say 5th or 6th with a more than 46 wins.
I was a little disappointed with the draft haul (would have liked trading up or down) but that Cole deal is fantastic business. The third year being a team option really does give the FO a little more time over their upcoming major decisions. It's also a nice potential trade size contract too down the road.
