If he improve on strength. He will get much more defensive rebound. I can live with 7’4” shooting 30% at threes. But he really need to improve his assist ability to neutralize defense trying to double him

Wemby put on 20lbs of muscle from draft night to the start of pre-season. If he can put on muscle that quickly, he could potentially have a giannis type of transformation. A player who is 7'4 with giannis type athleticism, with the offensive skillset of KD, while being a yearly dpoy candidate is a GOAT player. Not to mention he carries himself like a professional, everyone speaks highly of his character/work ethic, he personally wants to be the greatest, he will spend his early years under greg pop, he is being mentored by spurs legends (tim duncan, Robinson, manu, parker), and he is on a young team with talented players that can develop together (the key players are on similar timelines).
Everything is lining up perfectly for this guy to be the GOAT (his ceiling), i really hope injuries or some other nonsense don't rob the viewers from seeing the best wemby can possibly be.

The Spurs are going to take it slow. They probably don't mind being a lottery team again. If they really go for it, that'll be evidence that he really is all that.
No one since Wilt will have as much impact. And Wilt did not win for many years, just dominated weaker teams. Wemby has the coach to win.
I don't really watch basketball like that but this guy is very entertaining. I was not expecting him to be so athletic at his height. He's a better-looking version of Bol Bol. Could you imagine those two players on the same team with somebody like Kyrie Irving?

I think everyone needs to revisit Magic Johnsons rookie Playoffs. He played from point guard to center. And the League was not quite ready for him yet.
Pop will have to go out of his way for Victor to not average 30 this year and compete for a Championship. Not the 8th spot. But a Championship this year.

What people don't get is that we wanted Lebron to be the Goat. He was our generations answer to jordan but most people who saw them both, lean towards jordan because lebron never filled the shoes. Jordan shouldn't have retired because he left the door open. Kobe couldn't get through. Lebron didn't get through. Hopefully now it's finally time and I wish him all the best. Hope future generations can have their debates on how the next next one stacks up to this kid. What a delight to basketball fans if this kid lives up to the hype.

It's easier to score in the NBA, because in Europe basketball it's a whole lot of fouling,sometimes it's called and most of the time it's not.
I’m 30% on this hype train. But let’s give him 40+ minutes on the the NBA court. My gut is saying, he’s can’t play a normal game like most human beings—you know your average 6 foot 7” player 😆. If you manage the fast pace game and slow it down for him…it could work. Gravity is against him.
