The Philidelphia 76ers acquired the rights to former Raptors point guard Jeff Downtin Jr. about a month ago in the Mac McClung trade. News came out yesterday that he is clearing a path for him to officially join the Sixers. I love Maxey and wouldn’t bet against him but creating for others is a really tough skill set to develop. I look forward to seeing Maxey’s growth this season after making this skill a point of emphasis last offseason

I dont know why people cant see it.Maxey could a Damien Lillard type of point guard for us. His shooting becomes more and more similiar to him and with the 12 assist game against the hawks we have seen that he has learned from James as well. We dont need a old school point guard like Rondo or Chris Paul. The most point guards at this time are combo guards and thats fine. Embiid, Harris, Melton or Reed can also passing the ball. In Nurse system are all 5 player involved when it come to find the open man.
If you're thinking, Jeff is going to change your team you're out of your mind… Philadelphia has really went downhill

i like Jevonte Smart. he is not special but he can make solid numbers for us. I dont know why we trust more in him
The 76ers are clearly lacking in pg play and elite playmaking. Not only does the 76ers not have starting pg play they don't even have quality backup pg play. Free flowing movement offense is great but you still need a player that can playmake. A player that reads the court. I like Maxey he clearly got better but even in the preseason he missed a bunch plays a decent playmaker doesn't miss.

Nick Nurse is not the kind of coach who builds his players confidence. They have to prove themselves if they want to play. He is not like the coaches who made ir to the finals last year, coaches who play most of their players and don't bench them when they make a mistake

It sucks that the Raptors did him dirty but they didn't have a choice…..He's gonna be good for the Sixers if he gets call up. Not flashy but very responsible and rarely does anything stupid which means very little turnovers. A high IQ guy on the court……
