Guess I’m one of the few people actually excited for this tournament.
You can clearly see teams/players try way harder after the All Star break, and not as much in the first half of the season. If you can get some more (even slightly) higher intensity games in November and December, what’s the problem? Guess we’ll have to wait and see if the players will treat them any differently.
I’m particularly curious about the final game, the only one that won’t count for the regular season record. If it looks like some random preseason game (starters play 20 minutes and take it easy), then I guess all the doubters were right. But if they actually play hard, then the doubters can suck it.
I remember a lot of people being skeptical about the play-in tournament, and that’s produced quite a few bangers. Sometimes it’s ok to give new things a chance.
And if you’re going to trash it beforehand, at least try to understand how it works. I’m still seeing some people say “we don’t need more games”, when it’s just one extra game, and only for the last two teams standing.

Wait so all the games in the pool are going to be like normal games at home stadiums, and then there’s a short tournament in Vegas? Or just the finals game in Vegas? I’m living in Utah now and unfortunately can’t go to the game this Friday, tryna see if I can see the clips in Vegas
