Honestly, this is the most worrying thing I’ve heard.
Mikal, Ben, Clax, CamJ all need to be 30-36 minute guys. Like clearly….

JV came from the Pop coaching tree and the Spurs are rarely playing their guys 35+ a night. Not surprising for me.
It’s hard to be invested this season with JV as a coach. He clearly has no faith in the team and spent all of preseason implementing offensive and defensive sets that don’t fit our team.
I mean JV spent all of last season wondering whether Mikal midrange shots were good and spent this preseason not drawing up a play for him. Then after hyping Ben up all preseason, he plays him 23 minutes opening night.
I think he did a good job with KD + Kai but without them, there’s a lot of evidence that he’s just a bad coach.
It’s gonna be a long season…
