[Jon K] Anthony Edwards on the offensive struggles: “Started with me not moving the ball. I don’t know what I was doing tonight, but I’ll get back to it. We’ll be all right.”

It was ugly, sure. But game one of the year, things look flukey sometimes. They shot 34% from the field, on the road, against a really solid team, and lost by 3.

Ant and KAT both know they fucked ip tonight, let’s give it more than a game before we condemn the spacing and ball movement and entire offensive system.

If they’d hit two more shots, nobody would give a shit how they looked and would chalk it up.

Finch said it perfectly when he said it’s easy to move the ball when stats don’t count, but the ball gets sticky once stats do count.

Hopefully we can put the team first and also realize that moving the ball will make things easier for Ant too.

Love the accountability. Sucks to lose but there is a lesson involved. Also going to have that Ant to Rudy pass on a loop for the next 36 hours.

After an “okay” 1st quarter our two best offensive players combined for 10/40 shooting, 2 assists, and 6 turnovers.

Meanwhile KAT and/or Gobert are slow getting back. I don’t know what Finch is telling the guards/wings about crashing or going for steals, but a handful of times an already down defense got put into worse position by going for the homerun steal. Just fucking get back and put a body in front of anyone!

  4. Him stopping the ISO ball will help us so much as a team. Championship teams move the ball around. How well we do this season depends on it.

Shit looked like the Rec in 2k. Raptors got a rebound and just chucked it down the court. Only way to stop that it is to make your shots.

It’s alright Ant. When you got OG guarding you, shooting becomes a hell of a lot more difficult. He’ll bounce back next game

Something to love about Ant is that he takes accountability and seems to have an immediate understanding of when he’s played bad. He doesn’t need to go watch the film to know he played bad and didn’t move the ball. Soon he will hopefully be able to recognize that in the moment and adjust

I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed

fucking ridiculous statements like this are why this shit never changes

Dude says Kat and Ant know. No, they think if they make two more shots they are winners again.

Ant might overpass next game haha, it feels like it’s often one or the another. I wonder how he can find a good balance.
