  1. OPJ will be eased in and load managed for most of the season, gotta keep him healthy to get most out of him.
I suspect Boucher has a minor injury and with the first few games coming in rapid succession, it makes sense to give him, and others,a little extra time to be at their best.
Malachi was probably a little banged up, but he's young, and needs to learn how to play through and around it, because teams are going to try bang him around until he does.

  2. I loved how Banton and Oshie B. took over tonight in the Celtics – Knicks game during crunch time. It's terrible the way the Raps let those guys go. Future HOF'ers for sure.

Ok, I kid. And I honestly wish the best for my two fellow Canadians, as we all do … but honestly… we can't get too upset when the 13th, 14th and 15th guys get let go after a few years. Not worth tearing a strip off management for these minor decisions. I hope Flynn gets 20 minutes a game for 20 games. But if he is to fail we have to be honest about him.

  3. We just different with Darko and Dennis carrying the offense, getting Fred & Nick out of here was key. I loved how Dennis & Scottie ran the offense together tonight and I actually think Siakam taking a backseat on the points opens things up now as well as we saw OG cooking too especially from 3. It allows Siakam to relax and become more clutch for us when it matters the most down the stretch as he's in a similar role he was in back in 2019 during our chip run. It's crazy how this man's 3-pt shot has improved from the time when I saw him airballing in his rookie season. LOL! I liked Precious Achiuwa tonight too because he was eating against them two bigs in the post. The biggest difference is how much our defense has improved we locked up Antman after his 1st quarter explosion. It's looking great, we'll see how this weekend goes as the Bulls need a win badly after getting cucked against OKC tonight.

  4. Some sloppy turnovers and stalled plays, but overall it was good to see the ball moving around. Their half court offense is miles away from their mantra from last year, and they tried to limit iso plays to designed plays coming out of breaks. Pascal wasn't as efficient as he should have been, a lot of his shots rolled off the rim, but they'll hopefully improve as they round into season form. Still great vision on transition and breakaway plays, and the defense did really well against Goebert and KAT. Still need to clean up the glass and cut down on fouls and turnovers, but the team hummed along without a true center on the court. Hoping they can get the bench actively contributing when their starters are sitting out. Good showing for game one.

  5. Fred with an amazing 14/5/1 stat line in 34 minutes… absolutely inspirational.

  6. This is looking like even more of an L for the Rockets lol. Fred’s debuted with 14 points on 5-13 shooting in 33mins. He will be playing babysitter for that team haha, at least he got paid.

  7. A lot of things to iron out but this exceeded my expectations of the newly coached squad. What a great head coach debut for Darko. I really see the potential once this team spends more time together and gets more acclimated to this new 0.5 style of play and Darkos schemes. The ball movement alone was a lot more watchable, no more living and dying by the 3 or ball stopping from Fred.
Need to tighten up on those silly turnovers but I’m sure that’s mostly rust that’ll come off. We won’t be shooting 40% from 3 every night but we can continue this level of unselfish play and ball movement.

  8. Exciting basketball compared to the last few seasons. Real point guard fast…. But we gotta clean up the number of turnovers. Masai got value in Dennis❤❤❤❤ LFG JABRONIS

  9. seems like malachi is suffering from fred syndrome, short pg that is only useful when hitting threes.

  10. You sound like you're still hurt Vanvleet left. Thank God Houston stepped in because our organization was just as stupid in trying to bring him back.

  11. This Ben guy is changing his narrative now. Constantly called Schroder a downgrade from FVV when the signing first happened. Constantly said raptors lost FVV for nothing. Now suddenly Schroder is a steal … btw how did FVV and his new team do? Lol

  12. I know it's just one game but MY GAWD Malachi! Just an awful showing all around. Raps simply can't afford to keep him on the floor if this is what he does. Other than I'm loving this brand of basketball and of course the vibes!

  13. But, but…we lost Fred for nothing. 😂😂. Please stop using that phrase people. Players sometimes leave in free agency and get replaced. You can’t just trade players because they are pending free agents. In that case, we trade Lowry in 2016.

  14. When was the last time the Raptors won (close game situation) with Siakam playing just 34 minutes?
Thank you Darko for spreading the minutes around to the bench. Flynn needs to clean up his turnovers. You can't show up playing 10-min with 2 turnovers–no wonder he had the worst +/-.

  15. Definitely a Steal for the Raps getting Schroeder at less than half vs $40M+/yr Bumbleet who only scored 14pts in a loss last night! Dennis scored more pts and did good job running the offense!

  16. I would like to see the team pickup another PG – Michael Carter Williams, Rodney McGruder, John Wall

  17. Dennis had a great game after a tuff start also 2 forced attemps in the end, but i know there is room to improvement and still coming out with the win is great
