Boston Celtics top-six team meeting and Jayson Tatum might be a liar

Upon further review, the opening night win over New York seemed pretty good after all. And even though Jaylen Brown didn’t have a great game, did do some thing that helped Boston win. So did Joe Mazzulla. John Karalis of Boston Sports Journal and Tom Westerholm discuss that, the meeting between’s Boston’s top-6 players to discuss someone coming off the bench, and why Jayson Tatum might just be a big liar.

  1. PTSD during 3rd quarter.

The Celtics lose that game if it was Last season. Something different this year. A little more poise and maturity.

  2. JT will come off the bench the first game against the Sixers, just to flex and crack his teammates up.

  3. I just say thank god for porzingis. We finally have a difference maker whos strong mentally when the Js fall apart. I'm glad Jrue settled them down as well during that timeout.

I'd put the knicks top 3. They beat the cavs last year. The sixers are a mess and the heat had the worst offseason.

  4. A bit off-topic. If the NBA is so concerned with load management why not eliminate back-to-backs?

  5. Ngl John, i know you be on business when you’re in media mode asking questions. But I feel like if you gave the same insight and personable-ness that you give on your pod in your questions you might get better answers on those nights that people be giving you heat. Even tho I know you don’t mind the heat. Be straight faced and stern as hell asking questions sometimes 😂

  6. Question: After watching Gilbert Arenas talk about the Celtics, does anyone else think that the 5 out offense makes scoring difficult for the Jays?

  7. John looking like a true professional with the shirt, the best dressed LO member. Tom, hope you and the fam get well soon. I also got a cold going on :/

Good points about Jaylen I dislike when all the good things we do get thrown out the window

  8. Smh. Celtics fans are dumb. Leads are hard to keep man. See the bucks/sixers, unless you completely out class ur opponent the 3 pointer keeps good teams in it always.

  9. I cannot believe that the NBA has become so fucking weak that podcasters are concerned about stars playing 38 minutes in a tight opening game. Pathetic.

  10. It's worth mentioning that these guys, as currently constructed, have never played together and therefore they are all learning how everything will shake out. As far as first "real" games go, it's hard to be anything but optimistic. As a team/unit, they can only improve from here.
