Question on this play: Strus gets the pass and ends up solving it with his shot making, but wouldn’t it be better for Mobley to dribble into the open space after Garland cuts and brings 2 defenders (with Strus keeping Bridges occupied out on the wing)

  1. I’d imagine this was a set play. If so, Mobley dribbling into the paint would have blown the movement up. Claxton was in pretty good position to pick him up either way so I don’t think that would have freed up more space

Generally, I think it was just Mobley being patient and letting the play unfold

Maybe? There’s probably 3 looks they’re trying to get off this:
    1) DG coming off the ghost screen for a floater/jumper
    2) Donovan in the corner for 3
    3) Mobely rim running after Strus draws a lot of attention

you definitely don’t go off script there as mobley. only time you would is if someone is left completely wide open or there’s a clear lane to the hoop.
