derick white has to be a priority to be signed in the off season. he's the one guy from the top 5 whos not gonna have a max deal. and a lot of times he is the best or second best player on the team.

I get the “no depth” issue, but the thing is, if you have 6-7 starters, essentially, you need to give them a ton of minutes anyway. Even if we had depth, I just feel like the minutes wouldn’t be there.
Tatum had a bad game filled with turnovers but it gets glossed over while even browns good game they pick it apart to criticize
celtics have depth.. a whole bunch of defensive and energectic guys.. sitting on the bench.. why 88 didnt play. he would have given bam trouble while prozingis had foul teouble and it would be less pressure on old man Harford guarding the bigs and Tatum would just kill if he was at the 3

Regarding Jaylen and his offensive rebounding (or lack there of), I think this is related to his decision making reaction time.
He is constantly .25 seconds slower than the other elite players around him. That is really what seperates him from other all-nba wings like Paul George, Jimmy Butler, and Tatum. He has a .25 second hitch in everything he does.
In rebounding this is most noticable because he is always like 2 feet out of position. He is ALMOST there, but will get beat to the spot by guys who are not as athletic or quick.
He makes up for it by being an elite athlete so he can recover or get there by sheer quick-twitch explosion.
If he had the mental clarity and reaction of a guy like Derrick White he wouldnt get stripped nearly as often, would be a monster on the boards and prob double his Block and steal numbers.
Unfortunately basketball reaction-time IQ is something you are born with, not something you add to your game 7 years in.
He is what he is, which is an All-Star level wing who can get you 25-30pts on a nightly basis, and play good (not great) defense.
Which is AWESOME to have, BTW!!
But if you are expecting him to suddenly become a reasonably prolific rebounder/decision maker, than you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
I think the problem with John's Hauser take is that he's not taking the role of someone else that could be more impactful. You saw it tonight how Brissett was out there with Hauser, and I think Lamar can also play with him. You could have it so something like Jrue/Brown/Hauser/Stevens/Al are out there, and Tatum and Porzingis play with Brissett and Pritchard. Obviously you can mix and match however you want but the point is that Hauser isn't directly in the way of anyone and still plays the role of a shooting threat that makes life easier for the starters, regardless of whether the shot goes down or not, while not being a detriment everywhere else like Svi. This team has no need to be playing everyone 36-40 a night in order to win, they can go 10-11 deep and be fine.
Really hope brisset gets a lot more minutes in the coming games we need him in crucial moments when the team starts falling apart he’s like a mental mechanic
