Three games in and Siakam has looked pretty horrible tbh. You’d think he’d come in motivated to show everyone why he deserves that extension he wanted but I guess not.

Super disappointing thus far from your all-star and “leader”.

  2. I think we should all agree now that we should be rebuilding this team around Scottie, there is nothing left to do with this squad.

  3. Diligent-Use-7268

Jak isn’t the guy for this team.

Scottie/Pascal have zero spacing to operate with.

it’s confusing that this FO would trade for a center with such an offensive deficiency when we have historically benefited from decent/good offensive centers(Gasol, JV, Ibaka)

  4. Cheechers23

The Siakam thing is a combination of things, but I truly believe it stems from him not having a role in this offence. We use him like Boucher ffs.

He also does kinda look checked out, which is probably related to the first point. Tough, Darko gotta sort this out.

At least Scottie has looked awesome to start the season. Also, we’re literally never gonna shoot that well from 3 again this season, and we wasted it lol

Someone in the media needs to ask Darko about Pascal’s usage. It almost seems like the offence was designed with him not expecting Pascal to be here…

  5. Howdyhayhay

Looks like siakam wants to be him somewhere else

  6. TheEverbless

Said this yesterday and got downvoted. Pascal looks like he’s completely disinterested. He’s missed assignments all game , he got backdoor cut a bunch in the 4th quarter, fumbled easy passes , lethargically missed some easy shots , wasn’t aggressive on either end of the court, and made very stupid fouls.

We really need to keep an eye on him over this next stretch.

  7. Tell you the truth I can’t go against Wenbayama he is what he is but I tell you I LIKE DICK

  8. Scottie Barnes is him. Dude has been our best player every game since preseason and continues to show up on both ends of the floor. He’s still got a lot of room for growth, but if he keeps this up hopefully the FO hands him the keys at the deadline.

Scottie took a step forward. Looks like a legit Allstar.

Dick is legit. Give that man more minutes.

  10. Me: This was a promising game for our rookies!

  11. Afrorobotics

Kinda felt like all the unselfish basketball and extra passes disappeared this game. We definitely missed OG tonight. Wish we had a better backup PG. Sucks

  12. Scottie and gradey were the only things I liked about that game.

  13. Scottie looked great, Gradey looked great.

Can’t say as much for the rest of the team though. Gary, Poeltl, and Siakam all seem off.

  14. DoseofDhillon

17 3’s made and we lost, this is the worst case scenario for the raptors. Its when they actually HAVE a rare good shooting night and the gulf in quality is still huge or feels huge. We shot well above expectations and we look a tier or 2 below a team that never felt it had to get out of second gear.

This game hurts more than the chaos of Chicago imo, Chicago was just a shit show, this was “we shot decent and still not good enough”, also we turn over the ball a lot, our team doesn’t have the personal to maximize this offence as I see it rn, its gonna be a tough season

  15. unclekarl_

Siakam may have taken the selfishness rumors to heart and now is too passive. He played like year-2 Siakam.

  16. nrgturtle

What is Siakam doing out there?

He feels totally absent, low energy. I see him standing in the corner a lot, often with no spacing next to someone else.

I am beyond frustrated. I was worried he was going to play himself into a supermax and we would have some tough decision to make. I am no longer worried about that.

  17. I didn’t watch much of the game, I expected a scheduled loss after yesterday’s weird game. Plus, I’m not the biggest fan of Marc Davis reffing games.

That being said, 5 players in double-digit scoring. Glad to see Gradey with that type of output.

Not sure why OPJ isn’t playing, most likely not game-ready after a year off.

Poeltl and Siakam are having a rough start to the season. Barnes is playing great.

  18. Better not see anyone calling siakam a superstar anymore masai needs to trade him

  19. Inside-Economics-195

I still can’t stand watching Gary, just so frustrating.

  20. xWeDaNorth

Man Raptors are the only reason I am still paying for cable. I miss the 2019 days where we looked so good.

  21. TheEverbless

You know what though , Scottie’s shot looks really good. He’s gonna become someone once we trade a certain guy.

  22. ziahziah113

We now have half of the pieces here with Gradey and Scottie, we can get what we need in the lottery. I say we start the tank and let GTJ take whatever the fuck he wants. Shop Siakam for a backup PG and picks or something, at least make the losing product more fun. Coz it’s miserable watching him out there.

  23. ArrayMichael7

People are gonna blame Pascal for the fact Darko is running an offensive scheme to assure he doesn’t create

  24. Ecstatic-Buy-2907

Siakam just looks like he doesn’t wanna be there. I feel like watching him when he’s happy vs today is like night and day. Hopefully he and the rest of the offence can figure it out

He has to find a way to get involved, and the offense has to find a way to involve him. Let him do his thing at times. He’s still the most skilled player on the team. It may be Scotties team if he can keep this up, but something has to change, both on Siakams end and the coaches

  25. WildReputation5965

This is Scottie’s team now. Treat him like Giannis and surround him with 4 shooters for Gods sakes. Let him go to work.

  26. Being a professional sports journalist would be f#$king easy…these post-game questions are a joke LOL

“Coach, Dick is shooting really well, especially from three, what does that mean for you”

“Scottie is playing really well, he’s really talented, do you think that’s a good thing moving forward”

“The sky is blue, dirt is brown, what color is green?”
