The Denver Nuggets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 128-95. Nikola Jokic led all scorers with 28 points (12-16 FG), 14 rebounds, and 5 assists in 30 minutes played for the Nuggets, while Jamal Murray added 19 points and 8 assists in the victory. Chet Holmgren tallied a career-high 19 points for the Thunder. The Nuggets improve to 3-0 on the season, while the Thunder fall to 2-1.

  1. The thing with jokic is he comes from another time period of the NBA. There really is no Centers like him with foot work and rebounding, then he hits that 3.

  3. Someone who doesn't understand basketball would watch the first 5 minutes of those highlights and take away that Joker is bad at defense. But when you take the whole game into context, he stayed out of foul trouble, he had more energy for offense, and in the long run they blew out OKC by 30 points. Being smart about how to expend energy and when to put yourself in a position where you might get the foul is really important when you have a team with a short bench and are only a week into a long season. If they play smart as a team, you'll see them at least in the conference finals again, and I'd give them a better than 50% chance of being in the finals. Of course trying to beat unbelievably loaded teams like Boston and the Bucks is going to be a whole other level of difficulty.
