Reacting To Week 1 Of The NBA | Tim Legler and JJ Redick | OM3 Things Full Show

Big news… The Old Man and The Three Things is now available on our main feed! We will be publishing every Monday with JJ and either Tim Legler or Steve Jones and Nekias Duncan of The Dunker Spot. We want to make this THE place for NBA sickos. On today’s episode, we’re joined by Tim Legler to talk about our Week 1 takeaways from this young NBA season. First up, Tim talks about his biggest x-factor in this entire NBA – Tyrese Maxey and why, given his play so far, The Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid don’t need James Harden. Then JJ talks about the thrilling play of Luka Doncic and The Dallas Mavericks and how… they might not actually need tremendous defense to compete. Then JJ talks about how impressed he’s been with Jalen Duren and Tim Legler talks about the steady hand of Chris Paul helping with The Golden State Warriors offense. And finally, Tim talks about how much he’s loved watching Kristaps Porzingis on The Boston Celtics and JJ praises the undeniable Nikola Jokic and The Denver Nuggets.

01:35 – Tim on Maxey
12:25 – JJ on Luka
23:06 – JJ on Jalen Duren
28:50 – Tim on Chris Paul
36:15 – JJ on Nuggets
40:46 – Tim on KP

  1. Some fun news. Our weekly Monday show (OM3 THINGS) is now going to be available on every platform. We're so psyched for this. This pod is for the true NBA sickos. Next week Nekias and Steve join us and we also have a fun player pod this week. Subscribe if you haven't. Peace!

  2. Biggest change for Celtics so far has been late game execution, something that they have been remarkably inept at for a top tier team. Knicks game, the Porzingus/Tatum pick and roll/pop was so much more dangerous than the Tatum/Brown 1 man clear outs of years past. In the second game (Heat) Holiday was a steadying force that they always lacked with Smart.

  3. Awesome fellas.. 👌👍💪
    Love the bball talk.. 🙌🙏
    Ima nba freak..
    played lol.
    Well Tho, NZ.. 😂

  4. Nuggets a juggernaut they going to walk through the league again. We are watching this generations Lebron/ Jordan in Jokic he is Unguardable!

  5. I tried to tell folks that the Sixers would be contending this season, top 3 in the East, with or without Harden. Everyone was so distracted with the harden drama that they failed to really look at the Sixers roster, and they failed to look at the games last season when Maxey was running point. I already knew this is how it would be. Already knew that he could be the #2 guy and an all-star player, already knew that Tobi would be very good in a contract year as a 3rd option. This is what I expected. I can't wait to see them play the Celtics.

  6. I mean Luka is not a great defender but he was the Mavs best defender in the game against the Nets. He’s not bad when he is focused or late in games.

  7. Tim Legler is always a hater…. and a bad commentator…. just stop…. and go to a retirement home you clown

  8. 76ers needs a bully ball 4 to take some of the heavy lifting/physical play load off Embid and a 6'6" defence minded point guard
Neither needs to worry about being a big star
That would keep the nba on its toes
