Keldon has not progressed
If the Spurs had ran the offense through wemby, they would have won. Soo much selfish plays.
The 2024 draft picks for San Antonio are going to be very important. It is an opportunity to get an actual big guard and a 7'1" defensive center.

Lemme preface by saying that Keldon was great tonight, but he needs to come off the bench. He doesn’t fit with this starting lineup since we need a true facilitator like Tre. Plus we need more of a punch off the bench and him + Branham/Cedi would be fantastic
I like that tall starting lineup, but we also need Tre to play with Wemby more. That mini burst he had was with him manning the point. Also Barlow should have gotten some minutes there. Zach played so much minutes he looked tired in the last quarter. .

Super yikes game.. even with the dysfunction spurs made it a game! Im gonna say again the starting line up doesn’t synergies to me .. the offense needs to be ran through wemby and Devin … not enough cutting … not enough rolling to the rim .. both wemby and sochan are lob threats ..yet they never took advantage of that
What nobody is talking about, concerning the 4th quarter:
1) Both teams’ players were really sucking wind all game after that frenetically-paced 1st quarter. Spurs game plan will be more effective once they’re physically in basketball game shape. Last night’s lack of conditioning really worked against them late in the game.
2) I think the original game plan was for Tre to finish the game, but he banged his knee on the player that fouled him on his drive to the basket. He was limping, and that’s more likely why he came out.
Otherwise he’d have been handling the ball late instead of Keldon.
My notes for the game is the defense, and particularly Keldon's focus on the defensive end were a huge step up for the Spurs. I also think Pop should have a wider roster use. Mamu can play, Barlow can play, Bassey can play more, Champagnie for sure can score. If we are going to be this super fast passing the ball team, we should play more of our guys.
Everyone's like "We need Tre next to Wemby", ignoring the fact that Tre and Sochan can't play together much cause they both can't shoot from three, and that Tre is super needed on the bench squad to get Malakai and the bench guys going when Wemby isn't on the floor cause our team struggles offensively without Wemby. What people mean is "We want Tre on the floor in the last few minutes of a tight game, rather than Sochan who isn't ready for those pressure moments at PG yet". Starting doesn't matter, ending the game does
