It was malpractice watching Giannis, Beasley, Pat and Brook plant Dame in the corner and ignore him on offence

The Bucks and refs did everything to try and give Miami this game. This felt like a Bud blow a lead and win ugly game. I’m sick of those bruh.

Honestly you can tell these guys don’t give a shit about the regular season based on this game and last but I guess I’m fine with that after last regular season

  2. deniablebubbles

Interesting win but I’ll take it seems like there’s plenty of room for improvement

  3. BobbbyLight

It was said plenty in the game thread but I am confused by Giannis slipping EVERY SINGLE on ball screen he has with Dame. Maybe coaching wants to try it for awhile to see what it does? Does Giannis keep making that call himself? It doesn’t really make sense to me but I’m just a random guy on Reddit.

Otherwise, good win, even with the lazy finish. 2nd game of a b2b and all that. Team still figuring shit out.

But encouraging things happened. Defense looked much better, we actually have offensive sets and don’t just play random anymore and the passing was very good.

We’re still a work in progress but mostly encouraging stuff tonight.

Praying on our boy kash money to get back in the groove

  5. Aquadagger6

That was one of the wins of all time. Why do I feel like I’ve watched that same exact game script dozens of times.

  6. Competitive_Quiet179

Gonna be a lot of growing pains this first half of the year for sure

  7. bigbobo33

Brook seems to be really struggling when he’s not in drop coverage.

  8. Jaire_Noises

WHAT A TERRIBLE WIN THIS TEAM SUCKS I HATE IT HERE

We beat a notoriously annoying team on the second half of a b2b even with the worst possible 4th quarter we could have played. Ain’t gonna ruin my mood, 2-1 baby.

  9. TheShittyOutdoorsman

Felt like this was going to be a classic heartbreaking loss. They go ice cold, and Miami gets absolutely red hot. Odd the heat didn’t put butler in with a single digit game in the 4th. The Heat hit EVERYTHING when it matters, so frustrating. Long season to figure it out, though!

  10. CupOfHotTeaa

your average bucks vs heat game featuring random role players

  11. Bob_Ross_was_an_OG

Oof came close to blowing it, same as against Philly in the opener, and it was against the Heat’s reserves in the fourth. Gross

  12. TheLegendofLior

I’ll take it. Still got a lot of work to do though.

  13. MrFishownertwo

fun game! glad i’m old enough to remember the scott skiles days for some perspective

  14. IcyLaw9443

Its gonna take a bit to gel, this is early season that you want to get those kinks out, if this was a week or two before the playoffs, then I’d be worried.

  15. badgerrae

Currently having unpleasant flashbacks to last season when Tony Brothers did the exact same shoved-out-of-bounds turnover BS against Bobby in the game that we almost blew against the Raptors

  16. TelltaleHead

    Stray thoughts:

Best Crowder game of his Bucks tenure. Did all the dirty work

Bobby looks much improved defensively in this scheme. Still don’t want him on elite wings but he doesn’t look lost anymore

  17. ClayBoiStyle

Why are we running all the sets with Beasley?? And does this team know that we have a true point guard? Dame needs to bring the ball up EVERY-TIME. No wonder Terry Stotts left after seeing this malpractice of using Dame.

  18. WeefBellington24

That game was definitely NO BUENO for my health. Like honestly wtf?

Im still just gonna chalk this all up to growing pains but come on. Idk. Is it? I need to convince myself it is.

  19. Tinytimmytimtim

I’m gonna be as charitable as possible and just assume dame is REALLY out of shape, which is why they parked him in the corner. Only logical explanation for how he’s being used. He is not bogdanovich. He’s not a SG you park in the corner. 14 FGA attempts for the most efficient volume scorer in the league last year is absurd. This has nothing to do with how they blew a lead. This would be terrible basketball even if they won by 30.

  20. beenhadballs

I really hope the Giannis screen issues are just a let-them-play for now thing. If we’re still doing this come February and not seeing steady, good screens for dame we will be missing a huge opportunity.

  21. Stunning_Campaign_10

Good things happen when Giannis makes free throws

  22. Skeleboi846

Heat are going for a repeat of their last regular season where every game goes to the clutch, shit must be tiring as fuck for Heat fans

  23. benr751

Was anyone able to actually watch this game?

  24. AngryAsshole8317

Some of y’all need to fucking chill… Just saying…

  25. MajicJ23

When this teams coasts. They fucking coast.

  26. Unable_Ad6836

Why are teams allowed to shove us out of bounds?

  27. aaalan71

When you are glad that the Bucks get rid of George Hill so Bud can’t keep using him, now prepare for Griffin keep using Beasley along with Dame to keep the ball away from Dame

  28. bbsienko

We were definitely on our Play Random™ shit in that 4th quarter

  29. coolguybobby

There were some really exciting flashes of excellence tonight and we should just leave it at that. Dame and Giannis alternating has been effective and things will get scary WHEN (not if) they learn to balance each other. I’m impatient, we all are. I wanna see Shaq and Kobe, we all do. We’ll get there. We beat the former Conference champions tonight and we should just keep our eyes on the next game.

  30. kabman7

Griffin needs to show Giannis bam adebayo screens compilation video throughout tomorrow.

  31. depressedfuckboi

Good to see Giannis hitting free throws this game

  32. B1ueEyesWh1teDragon

This game is a reminder that the Heat are always gonna play us harder than they play anyone else. Glad we won, but I wouldn’t read too much into their end of bench squad extending a game. Do we need more killer instinct? Sure. Does Griff need to figure out that Connaughton can’t do anything on offense but slash and catch and shoot? Yes. But I’ll take solace in the fact that Giannis and Dame played well in the same game and it resulted in an ugly albeit W. The chemistry still isn’t there between them like it should be and I’ll be honest I despise Griff staggering their minutes as much as he does but it’s game 3 of 82. If we still look like this by game 40, it might be time to question the program and the players.

  33. DarthNoved

Ik they still have to get their chemistry period and the coach had to work himself in/figure stuff out but getting close to blowing a 20+ point lead in the 4th quarter is frustrating 🙃 and I can’t with these rotations but I’ll try to look past it until December man this game had me hot.

  34. AnotherGeeksFan

This wasn’t a great win. But let’s be clear, the Heat are NOT a bad team. They are highly competitive. Competent players, great system and one of the best coaches of all time. A win against them is a win. Letting them get 40 pts in a quarter is awful and damn shameful for sure. But still a competitive win none the less.

Back to training. Still a long season to go.

  35. All our bigs slip screens, how has no one taught them to screen ?? Like Brook and Bobby don’t set good screens. It’s really frustrating the fuck out of me

  36. aaalan71

Can Griffrin not starting Beasley and not pairing him with Dame anymore, he is hurting this team right now, basically George Hill 2.0

  37. FlipMoBitch

We’ve come way to far from the Brandon Jennings Bucks to be this upset after an early season win.

  38. CreamCityFr34k

The amount of anger in this post game thread is hilarious.

We’re 2-1 with a rookie coach, new lineups, half a Middleton, and Dame/Giannis having played a whopping 3rd game together lol.

    🔥🦌🔥

    Let’s go Bucks!

  39. ParistoLagos

I know the game kind of turned ugly for the Bucks in the 4th quarter, but I actually think that having a huge lead against teams this early on in the season may be great but it could also lead to false sense of security. I think having to overcome this kind of situation will help them in the playoffs. We’ve seen this team freely dismantled teams in the regular season before and only for them to fail in the playoffs after leading early in the quarter, circa Boston in game 6, Miami, and so on. It’s frustrating as heck to see them lose big leads in the 4th quarter but I’d rather it happens early in the regular season and they find a way to still come out victorious. I feel going through this during the regular season and overcoming a late surge by the opposing team will prepare them extremely well for the playoffs.
