According to Jeff Teague when Jimmy got to MIN, Jimmy told him “Kat is the best player, I’m gonna let him do his thing. Him and Wig gonna carry the team, I’m gonna do everything else” but by game 4 he said “Fuck this shit, this ain’t gonna work. I thought they was something else, they ain’t”

Some dudes just aren’t built to be the alphas and that’s fine. KAT and Wigs evidently aren’t.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t thrive elsewhere or in a different role a la Wiggins and if KAT stops talking nonsense and let’s Ant do his thing,

What off the court stuff is he referring to with KAT?

  3. so-cal_kid

No denying KAT’s skill and abilities on the court. He just doesn’t seem to have the mental/emotional makeup to be a true go to guy. And it’s crazy he’ll be 28 years old soon

That entire segment fits with what everyone has always said about KAT anyway: as skilled as any player in the league, but doesn’t have that killer mentality. It’s a cliche but applies to him as much as it does anyone.

That team went 37-22 with Jimmy in the line up, 10-13 without him

Dude went for the mid podcast Al Bundy

KAT will go down as one of the most overrated players of this generation

It’s so weird because KAT will have good games where he’s playing soft but something just ain’t there consistently

Butler was expecting to be carried, then he proceeded to throw his team mates under the bus behind their backs, what’s so great about that? That’s the definition of locker room cancer. I’ve been saying this, his credit will eventually run out, he’s so over rated.

    Teague is a good storyteller

Yeah he was not wrong at all, became a reality when Jimmy went out and they were 3rd for him to return and they were 7th or 8th almost on the outs

Wiggins went through a lot with his father’s medical issues last season but his performance in the 2022 post season was huge for the Warriors chip.

I don’t know if y’all remember this but a lot of talking heads where saying he was the second most important player to that run after Steph and I think there’s a real argument to be made there.

Wiggins has started off slow this season but every game he’s looking a little better.

KAT I’ve never believed in as a number one guy. He has the production but not the ability to control the game. He should be a number 2 on a contending roster.

This sub gets mad if Wolves fans say anything about Jimmy and the Wolves. Then every week there is a post about the two again on this sub. Pick one.

I’ll get downvoted because of my flair but can T-Wolves fans actually explain why they don’t like Jimmy? Is it because of the way he left?

I thought his problems were with KAT and Wiggins and the team not being up to his standard. Yet, I see Minnesota flairs in this comment section saying that Jimmy was right. Now Wiggins is gone, and KAT gets “overrated” comments thrown his way.

I’m not hating. I just want to understand. What’s the issue with Jimmy?

Crazy how the leagues sharks can smell prey so fast , 4 games is crazy lol

People shit on ayton a lot, but idk kat is far off

Nah, but why does Teague act like he gets the pass and was Jimmy’s man. He was everything Jimmy complained about with Wiggins and KAT. Teague was one of the most lethargic and low IQ players I’ve seen in his tenure in Minnesota. That man would dribble the shot clock out just to pass it to someone with 5 seconds left. Couldn’t throw an entry pass.

Genuinely love listening to Teague, he’s a first-ballot “wish I could grab a beer with him” guy.

Jimmy Butler’s initial plan was to let Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins lead the team, but he quickly realized they weren’t up to the task. This sheds light on the friction between Butler and his former Timberwolves teammates.

Jeff is so fun to listen to man lol
