Very first instant I wasn’t sure how I felt about this, but the more I looked, the more I like it. The Elliot Smith tie-in is unexpected but cool, the legacy of the pinwheel is visible but clearly this is doing its own thing. I dig it OP, good work. Leagues better than the shit Nike churns out for us.

I hate the typeface, but I absolutely love everything else about this.
Edit: I get that it mimicks the Figure 8 typeface, but for whatever reason I’m not sold on it.

The typography leaves a lot to be desired (first draft?) and the S is a bit much for a team that doesn’t start with S. Also, I’ve been interested in music and sports of this region for a long time and Elliot Smith is NOT who comes to mind when I think of northwest music. To me it’s about as disconnected from the pulse of the area as “KEEP PORTLAND PLAID.” Maybe a tourist would appreciate it but Portland isn’t exactly a tourist stop. The ribboning of the stripes is great though, and I like the stripes around the edge of the jersey.
I hope you’re looking for feedback and not just showing off, otherwise this will probably not be received well.
