Do you think Griffin is experimenting lineups atm and seeing what works/and doesn’t? Can’t think of any other reason why they’re not playing to their strengths

Dumb question: the PnR is made to sound like it’s undefeateable. Why not just do it all the time for every team?
Or is it the basketball version of “why don’t they just run the 2 minute offense all game; they always score.”?

On defense, it’s at least easy to see what Griff’s doing with the switching scheme, more of a personnel/roster issue right now. But otoh, offense?? I just don’t see what we’re trying to do. Way too much iso for one and while it looks like at times we’re trying to the same inside-to-outside scheme as Bud, there’s no discipline like Bud’s shooting spots (like it or not, Bud did have this team running his system). And where’s the motion? What about some modern double screen action?? We’ve seen some but those plays all seem like they were purely initiated and improvised by the players, not like they were intentional.
Which all leads back to the complete lack of pNr/pNp…because it you’re not running any kind of “advanced” scheme on offense, you go for simplicity and nothing makes more sense than pick and roll/pop, especially when you have Damian effing Lillard!! But no, it’s not happening and Giannis/Dame are 61st in the league.
Anyway, I don’t want to convey that I’m a doomer – it’s only been 4 games and this team is vastly different on so many levels. However, it would really be nice to see some signs of where we’re going on offense because as of now, it’s hard to see any direction.

Has anyone asked Griffin, Dame, or Giannis about this? They do post game interviews. I just keep seeing posts how they’re not running enough picks but no follow up in any press conferences?

Giannis doesn’t really seem to have figured out how to roll effectively, for whatever reason.
Khris and Dame, on the other hand, pulled off a really nice looking pick and roll last night for a very easy basket.
I’m hoping it’ll get better with more practice and time together.
