[Noh] A four game sample is not super meaningful, but these numbers by the Celtics thus far are insane. Per @cleantheglass: -No. 1 offense (125.9 points per 100 possessions) -No. 1 defense (102.0 points per 100) -They have the point differential (+23.9 per 100) of a 78 win team

Ngl, blowing out Washington was nice but not overly impressive since they are a joke of a team

But Indiana is a solid team. Blowing them out is an awesome sign. We have looked better every game so far

Yea, this is kind of where it hits home how small the sample size is. This is clearly an 82 win team and it’s not quite playing up to it’s potential yet.

  4. Not skewed by a 51 point win at all /s

Still though, its pretty sweet. 98-0

I love it, but at the same time, we really really need to get more sample size. Last year, we started off so hot and I was like, hold it. We’re shooting lights out from the 3, it doesn’t appear to be sustainable and you know the story. This year, it’s different, so I have different expectation, but this one does seem to be sustainable.

Just wait til they build chemistry

Celtics are the 9th best defense, not the first.

I’m just happy they’re beating the shit out of teams they have no business not beating the shit out of.

Long season obviously, but the focus feels different this year. Last year we got out to a great start, but it felt like we were playing with a vendetta from the previous year. Like we had to prove we belonged in the finals, and once we took some tough losses we lost focus, and didn’t actually have that core confidence.

This year feels like we don’t even have our shit together yet, and are just beginning to start building chemistry. And yet we are still a juggernaut, but are also winning when we don’t shoot great from three, and when the other teams are shooting lights out, and my god beating teams into smithereens with the starters playing 3 quarters is insane.

Gotta keep complacency at bay. I’m glad we’re playing a couple good defensive teams coming up.

Eventually we’ll hit a rough patch and we’ll see what happens, but I have faith in the maturity and talent of our core guys, and they’re all showing it so far.

It feels good but then I remember in November last year I was looking at stats about the Celtics having the greatest offense of all time
