The Toronto Raptors put on a defensive clinic against the Milwaukee Bucks, powered by a strong all-around performance by Scottie Barnes, elite spacing by Pascal Siakam, great point guard play by Dennis Schroder and Malachi Flynn, the return of Otto Porter Jr, and an absolutely dominant paint performance by Jakob Poeltl.
Team win, on to the next one.

Great game, the offence looked good, seeing Otto on the floor was a feel good moment in a feel good game, and Scottie hitting four 3's.. is it a big enough sample size to say he's a legit perimeter threat?! We needed this one tonight
Mate, don't hop on the Flynn band wagon now. He was shit. Had a couple of good moments but he is not NBA standard and a huge issue on our bench
Scottie was the best overall player tonight, his defensive skill and overall intensity are on another level this year, and I'm surprised how much of a leap his jumper has taken since last season. So amped to see how high his ceiling really is!
Nicely done putting up Fred VanVleet's playoff performance. Haha. Well done indeed. Fred has got to be the luckiest yet smartest silver tongued human being I have ever come across. This man will one day convince Americans to vote him to the President's chair. He is that good with media management.
It will take between 10-20 games to fully understand the potential of this team. Let's give the Raptors credit for playing an incredible game after playing some of the worst games/stinkers in franchise history. But last night was likely an anomaly in the scheme of things. We are obviously not that good–not yet. That said, the team and coaches deserve full credit for this incredibly impressive win. I'm encouraged by the win, but still do not know what to expect from this team. Thanks for such a positive and insightful analysis.
Can we finally admit that Dennis fits this team and is a starting caliber PG when given the opportunity?
I really like Coach Darko,, he really believes in the players. I love his positivity and energy! Awesome game from Scottie! His greatness is evident!
I stopped listening to the Toronto sports media a long time ago.
Really happy that Otto played! I was happy when he signed with the Raptors!
Even though I had a feeling they might win this one, I do feel like I was tempted to go a bit negative after the last three games. This looks like everything I hoped the season could be and more .. this year is going to be amazing no matter what just seeing what Scottie does. I’m already hearing some people around me who weren’t believers coming around, which just shows how noticeable it is to everyone.
Also amazing to see Otto back. All good vibes, and really excited for this next game against the 76ers
So happy to have found your channel many months ago and to have subscribed! I have watched your growth from video to video, and it has been beautiful to see. I am so happy for all of your success!
I have learned so much about basketball from you. One thing I have learned is, I don’t know a lot about basketball! Lol I need to keep learning! Thank you for taking the time to read my comments, even though they are not as well written by others who clearly know a lot more than I do about basketball. Thanks again!
Scottie Barnes has arguably been the best player on the court in every game has played this year
Scottie
Year 1 – Caterpillar,
he's impressive, but other outsider don't really notice, and "stole" the ROY from Mobley
Year 2- Cocoon,
"You see, he's lazy. Hanging around, doing nothing."
But no knows what's going on, on the inside, and we're the ones to saying just be patient.
Nick and Fred didn't not help one bit.
Year 3- Butterfly,
The haters can't beleive what they're seeing, but the rest of us believed in what was coming.
But the media will twist it as "he listened to our criticism, and got better"
Who knows what we'll see down the line
Adrian Griffin looks lost, and bucks lead assistant coach quitting right before the season – yikes.
Celtics are unbelievably scary.
Raps can build if they play like a team. I feel the more his teammates realize Scottie is their best player by far, the better they will get.
Lee Anne is the GOAT
44:30 I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this story.
I'll be honest, I didn't get the pick at the time but I'm more than happy to eat my words because it was the right call.
Appreciate Coach Mo mentioning how Pascal should want to play at the faster pace. He has been the fastest player on this team his whole career and should be screaming any time things slow down. He's never been terribly efficient in a plodding halfcourt offense. Push the pace and he scores and scores a lot with efficiency.
2:20:55 like Fred always flexes on Charlotte 😂.
I made a comment after the Bulls loss that Scottie gave off Larry Bird energy in his presser.
I guess it's too much to expect other key players to do the same. Ouch.
Regarding the foul call disparity….BALL DON"T LIE 🙂…even Dame missed his FTs !
Fun game to watch tonight – Raps shot very well and played excellent defense. Bucks played horrendous. You can really see where they are missing Holiday's defense and struggling to adjust to Dame and new coach. The Portland game was worse than we are – this game we played better than we are – really notice the massive swings with the fan base in the threads. We can't count on this type of shooting. I will relish this victory but it doesn't change my mind on this team. We have run it back 3 times with a play in core – we could be a bit better this year but this is a 40 – 45 win team as it stands. We will have games where we shoot very well and win. We will also have a lot of games where we won't be able to put a beachball in the ocean. We shall see but I Scottie and Siakam are not going to be able to knock down 3s at league average – we simply don't have enough shooting and spacing. Elite shooting means being solid every night – not being lights out one night then well below average the next two which is what we are going to be. We looked amazing in the open court – we can do this consistently but this team is going to struggle to score in the half court all year. The best example of .5 basketball is the Warriors – ton of movement generating advantages and open look. That is a great plan for a team that has one of the most elite shooting rosters in history – we are not that. By the way Rob, respect on the self reflection – I've had to do a lot of it myself. Not easy to do but the honesty with ourselves is the best way to become better people. Props.
Rob, really wish you’d post 15-20 min videos. I want to listen to your opinion but I just don’t know where to start and not many of us have an hour let alone TWO to spare! 😅
