Just something I’ve noticed. Wood tends to let AD do his thing defending the paint and he’ll pick and choose when to reach in and defend. He had a block from behind on Zubac when AD reacted too early last game.
Wood taking advantage when opposing centers are wrapped up with AD. [That put back dunk he had with 5 seconds left in OT](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twgQV9Uzsl8) was because he was in the corner and Zubac was fighting with AD for position on the rebound off of the Reddish 3pa. He was able to sneak in the paint. Zubac was in hell, check out his reaction after the put back lol.
The fact that we can put Wood in the corner like that because he is a 3 point threat also makes him a great fit next to AD.
When AD misses a midrange shot or falls when making a FGA, Wood is able to get down the floor to defend the rim often because before the break he’s at the 3 point line. This stops teams running the floor and attacking the rim off of an AD miss which seems to be a strategy opposing teams have picked up on since last year.
With KD, it wasn’t just CWood or just AD. [I noticed at times CWood defend on ball while AD would provide help defense or vice versa](https://i.imgur.com/s9uWoMB.png). The two worked together to hold him down in the 4Q and it was crazy to see.
The fit is great. Can’t ask for more from a vet min contract.

Wood has been great for us so far and it’s been so long since we’ve played with two bigs! Let alone that nutty three big lineup lol.
They complement each other really well on both sides of the ball. I also love that they have chemistry from New Orleans, as well as the fact that Wood has always admired AD as a player he aspires to be.
