Luka shot the most FTs of any player in the game. He creates a lot of contact himself and he gets most calls. But he’s not going to get a call every time there’s contact and I’d expect him to know that at this point in his career

It’s really frustrating to watch the officials let defenders hand check, bump and bruise luka every drive. I know he complains a ton but he legit gets fouled a ton. He doesnt have the superstar whistle people think he does.

People say he doesn’t get the whistle because he is a big guard and then you see Embiid flop like a fish out of water and get 13-14 fts a night.

This play was pathetic when I watched it, I know he complains a lot at times but damn he is getting legitimately fouled at times and the refs just don’t call anything

yea I think part of it is they allow the defending champs more leeway, the other part is Luka’s history with refs. I think this will continue but if luka limits his complaining I think come the home stretch of the season they will start giving him the calls he deserves.

He didn’t get any calls tonight. The refs sometimes just decide they won’t call fouls on Luka.

Ok, that was a foul, but Luka was giving refs a look on every contact where he doesnt score, not every contact is foul.
Luka’s style of play is very physicall, he uses his body strenght to gain advantages, so defenders need to play the same way to stop him.
A lot of this situations Luka is bumping defender with his body to gain space, and then when he misses the contact shot, he complains, while defender did nothing to him..
Although, this season he doesnt complain as vocally as he did before, this part of his game is annoying.
People complain how todays NBA is soft, but then want fouls for their favorite players every time someone touches them..
