  1. I think you can catch your own air ball as long as it's a legit shot attempt

  2. You a Bucks hater, unsubcribing. Terrible takes in this one my guy, bucks had a great night. Blaming refs will always be corny

  3. wait wait wait

how did embiid out play giannis convincingly lol?

    embiid – 24 pts 09-21 fgs 3-8 fts 07 rebs 6 asts 0 stls 1 blks 7 turnovers 5 fouls
    giannis – 23 pts 10-22 fgs 3-9 fts 13 rebs 3 asts 2 stls 2 blks 7 turnovers 4 fouls

if anything, giannis slightly outplayed embiid since he was more active defensively with 6 more rebounds, 2 more steals, and 1 more block

i think we can all agree neither played very well offensively, though

  4. Embiid did not outplay Giannis lmao, Giannis had key defensive possesions, the steal on embiid that gave him an open dunk, the block on Maxey at crunch time, Also the second that Giannis took the Embiid assignment he instantly cooled him down, Embiid got most of his points in three possessions against Brook.

  5. Jason didn't even credit Giannis's defense in last night's game. His offense wasn't the best because of the way Nick Nurse plays swarming defense. Since his offensive skills are already limited, hence the 7 turnovers. And also Giannis had the better of Embid many times before in previous matchups. Give the freak some credit for making the game easier for Dame last night.

  6. Great breakdown, bro! Giannis really is his own worst enemy. If he can calm down and allow Dame and others to make the game easy for him (and fix the FT issue, haha), I think they gotta be the favorites.

  7. I really hope AD can just watch a few clips of Jokic watching him to see if he’s engaged in transition defense. Just watch them over and over and over until it’s burned into his brain out of pure frustration

  8. The Giannis travel was definitely a call that should've been made. The Lillard 3 + 1 was dodgy at best, but those calls happen at least once a game, so whatever. The Oubre handoff was the right call, however, because you can't hand the ball off in a screening position and trip the traling defender.. in no way was it a no-call. He impeded the defenders ability to trail the hand-off receiver without setting a legitimate screen. Don't agree with you on the Oubre one Jason. There were some calls that should've been made in favour of the bucks as well, so it goes both ways.

  9. I thought Giannis did not have a good game but I still feel he outplayed embiid.

  10. Giannis def needs to develop a reliable steady shot away from the rim. Not a midrange, but like a 6 footer or something. A hook shot, a push shot, just something he can go to that’s not right at the rim. He’s a beast in transition and getting downhill obviously, and I don’t expect him to be an efficient midrange or 3P shooter. So that HAS to develop over the next year or so. Jokic is like the master of those little push shots, his touch is ridiculous.

His prolly won’t look like Joker’s, it could be more of a hook or whatever is most comfortable for him and goes in more often, but you’d love to see him develop something in that 5-7ft area that can drop like 50% of the time or so. Just so it’s a threat and they have to worry about it, it’s not gonna open things up like a 12-14 footer or 3 would, but it’s realistic for him unlike those. And especially as he ages he’s gotta add even one thing like that, and then of course he has to get better at FTs.

Idk how, it seems partially mental, but nobody is asking him to shoot 80% or even 75%. The first 656 games of his career, he shot 71.8% FT on 7.4att in the reg season. 14-15 to 21-22 he’s 62.6% FT on 9.4att in the playoffs in 76g. If he can just get to around v low 70s consistently in the playoffs and reg season that’d be totally fine. Say like a 72% baseline, that way his awful stretches go from like 30-40% to 50-55% or so, and when he’s hot he can hit like 80. If he averaged 70% for the rest of his career especially in the playoffs, no issues.

With regard to 3PA, he only took 2.7 last season. It was 3.6/3.6/4.7 the 3y before that, so that’s good. He’s not gonna never shoot them, but minimizing them to like 2.5 a game and minimizing the early shot clock ones as much as possible is a good goal. I hope we see more Dame Giannis PNR, should be awesome.

  11. Jason can be quite negative when it comes to Giannis, bias even, and I think it stems from his prefers towards shooters. The only non-shooter he clearly likes is Lebron (duh). To that point, he clearly underestimates Giannis as a playmaker. I think this season, Giannis is going to re-assert himself as the best defender in the league and a top-tier playmaker, and that will be because the Bucks (finally) decided to incorporate some motion in their offense.

Their offense under Bud was just putrid, and that was detrimental to Giannis' development as a player. He is a player who learns best by doing and experiencing the offense/defense. I think by the all-star break Giannis will be fully ready to go with the offense, defense, personnel, coaching, etc., and more importantly, they will no longer play random.

Running actual sets that have any logical sense has been as refreshing as watching Dame cook.

  12. love your analysis g. you need to diversify your videos. get a studio and a partner and make it a real show talking bball. bet on yourself and it’ll pay off

  13. Giannis will be fine he looked rusty. The new coaching staff should not allow him to take 3's anymore particularly now with Dame, but i wouldn't overreact to travels and sloppiness with the ball it's game 1.

  14. Its safe to say there was plenty of foul baiting on the Sixers part. There were also plenty of extremely soft or wven non fouls called in favor of Philly
