As much as I’d like to agree, the truth is he’s taking the same shots this year as he was last year.
It’s the same story as during the 2021-22 season: all the talk about body language, ball hogging, and lack of hustle is nonsense because the only difference between All-Star Randle and All-Bum Randle is whether his shot is falling or not.

I think too many of these guys are deferring shots. The Knicks are passing the ball too much when they shouldn’t.

Don’t they watch film? His dribbling is exceptionally bad. I’m hoping he comes out of this but longterm Randle has to go. It would probably be better for him. As the playoff failures mount. Randle would be scapegoated out of existence. We need more athleticism like the better teams have. Let’s get some greyhounds in here and play some uptempo ball. That superstar may never materialize but let’s keep building.

I’ve been saying even when Randle was making All-NBA that his style of basketball is nto conducive to long term success.
The Knicks offense is inconsistent because there is no system, it’s hope and pray that Randle does something and Brunson can save the day if all else fails.
That is not a recipe for winning basketball.
The Knicks need to introduce more schemes to get the role players like Grimes and Hart more quality looks to reward their hustle, not just catch and shoot threes from drive and kick scenarios.
Knicks need to run some designed plays for shooters like hammer action or just watch Popovich’s offense from the Spurs runs after Kawhi was drafted and Popovich made the switch to the uptempo offense.
The Knicks offense is a farce.

Even if I haven’t watched a dribble this year I would know that because Perkins is always wrong and the opposite of what he says is typically true.
His playmaking has been one of the ***very*** few bright spots so far.
His shooting/scoring inefficiency is what is KILLING US. A lack of hustle here and there as well (though it’s not as bad as some would have you believe)
Dude still leads our team in assists. It’s a low bar, but while he is doing many things poorly (comically bad) right now – hogging the ball isn’t one of them.
