The crazy thing is that to me, triple doubles from a center are more meaningful even than triple doubles from a guard. For a lead playmaking guard, it mostly indicates that they got a lot of rebounds. IN a lot of those cases, they’re uncontested team rebounds that a teammate would have got, or they’re purposefully hogging rebounds like Westbrook did.

For a big man, it indicates that he got a lot of 10+ assist games, which is unusual and extremely valuable.

He’s just soooo good. Best player in the league for many reasons

Kendrick Perkins was ~~right~~ completely wrong. Jokic getting a lot of triple doubles is just proof that he’s an ~~overrated~~ underappreciated ~~stat~~ ring chaser.

    Perkins is a ~~great analyst~~ complete assh*ole.

By the end of the season, everybody’s going to have a lot of *I always knew he was going to be great* revisionist takes and I’m here for it.

He’ll never be in the general discourse for the greatest player of all time because of his lack of “athleticism” but he’s developing a legitimate case for consideration. He’s just on an entirely different level than any thing I’ve ever seen before.

    So let’s play hypotheticals here:

If Jokic plays until 40 (which I doubt, but again, hypothetical), what are the odds we see him passing LeBron for the All Time Points leader.

Maybe I’m delusional, but I feel like there is a world where we could see that happen if LeBron retires soon and Jokic plays until 40.
