Im sorry but i dont understand the notion that BI should take more 3s if the midrange is really like a layup for him, yeah he miss some but so is Z missing close range.
Zion was solid he’s a willing passer, I feel he should run point to start the offense he generates so many looks just like tonight but he definitely needs to be more aggressive he should average a least 25+ ppg
I’m a Nuggets fan, got this in my recommended and wanted to leave my thoughts on the game. Personally, I don’t blame anyone for struggling against AG because he’s one of the best all-around defenders in the league. Zion cooked us in transition, issue is there weren’t enough fast breaks where Zion had the ball. The Nuggets somehow have a great eye for talent in rookies, because our bench players won us this game. Our physical defense has gotten a lot better, and I think part of that is the insane athleticism and size we have. However, Ingram was making a lot of midrange shots because we struggle to stay with a player it seems on those iso plays.
I’m a big believer in the Pelicans, a lot of people forget that y’all were the 1 seed before Zion got injured. If I were to see a Nuggets v Pelicans WCF, I’d be happy with either team winning (although Nuggets would be best of course). I’m always rooting for y’all as long as y’all aren’t playing my Nuggets.
Jake, you’re a talented sportscaster. The regression to the mean take is precisely what happened this game. I was in the arena tonight and knew the Pelicans could not keep up that pace, while the Nuggets would not continue to shoot so poorly. Is the Denver altitude factor just a gimmick these days? They are supreme athletes competing at the highest level, would they ever admit that it’s difficult to play in Denver?

There’s definitely some sort of edge missing from both Zion and BI and the Pels as a whole. Maybe the injured guys coming back with help that. But I’m looking at the coaches and Zion and BI to lead by example and step up just a little bit
