Get a new “friend”, your current acquaintance sucks.

  2. GaviFromThePod

We have a better record than the heat

  3. ImSatanByTheWay

Time lord – trade was a gamble, chance to play great barring injury

Ayton sucks – 2nd in the league in rebounds and averaging a double double

Trades by the week – trades aren’t measured in weeks and the nba season is more than two weeks

Herro – congrats? Herro + two firsts still is a shit trade and if herro were able to get a star return don’t you think the heat would’ve done it?

  4. MurdocksTorment

    Sharpe, Camara, Henderson, Walker.

Some people just always want to be negative and pessimistic, and when bad things happen it makes them feel better because they were “right.”

The thing is – negative outcomes are the most common outcome in sports. Only one team wins the title. Less than half make the playoffs. So if you’re one of those people that thrives off the negativity and lives in that pessimism you get to feel justified more often than not.

I’d just stop talking sports with the guy. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Whatever dumb trade idea that the Heat had was 100% by no means anywhere near the level of what Portland ended up with. Not only that, but no Portland GM would be have been stupid enough to accept Lillard for the Heat pack, period. What Herro is currently doing is irrelevant to the offer at the time. And to add, there’s no fucking scenario that Portland even has a roster spot, let alone minutes for Herro when Simons is already the guy. There was no third team interested in even taking on Herro either, so that only justified that he had minimal value in a scenario involving a third team.

Damn he must be glad they didn’t trade Herro!

  8. theogbutcher

Bet your friend only looks at the stat sheets an doesn’t watch the games

We’re exceeding expectations early in a season in which we’re expected to be awful. Whole new roster, extremely young, and now already dealing with several injuries. It’ll take time for the time to gel and in the meantime Ayton’s at least getting boards like we want.

Timelord injury sucks, but he’s low salary and is talented enough when healthy to have been a risk worth taking. Maybe our tank season gives him the time he needs to recover, maybe he’s done. We’ve still got Ayton, picks, and players like Brogdon and Grant we can move.

Again, still early to be caring too much about stats, but we would’ve traded Herro regardless. He’s more expensive than anyone we have at his position, and we’re working on developing players right now. General consensus is he would’ve been worth an FRP.

Anyone sitting at home thinking we’d be winning more games with Herro and two Miami FRP’s in 2028 and 2030 can probably pick up a Heat Culture jersey on the cheap.

Time Lord was a gamble from the start, and a reckless one at that. He’s been amazing so far but i’m a believer in that the best ability is availability. If we wanted him for trade potential later this is an F on the score card. If we wanted him to be a long term stay here with the best grade i can give is a B-

I’m not a believer in Ayton either but he’s been doing exactly what we need him to do so saying he sucks during his run with the Blazers is quite far from the truth. I thought he would be a real stinker but so far he has proved me wrong and I hope he continues to do so.

no idea what point #3 is referencing.

Herro is actually playing really good ball right now but the idea of wanting him when we already have a back court of young talent is nonsensical. Simons getting injured was on no ones bingo card and this stretch without Ant would be the only time we would really get to showcase him as a trade piece with major playing minutes

    >Time Lord knee surgery

    Yeah, bummer.

    >Ayton sucks

#2 in the league in rebounds sucks? k

    >Worse and worse set of trades by the week

Is that supposed to make sense?

    >Herro sixth in the league in scoring

    With a +/- of -9, lol.

  12. BigBallsMalone

The trade is made up of so many picks how is it looming worse? It’s all about the picks.

Tell your friend to hold his emotions and strap in

  13. Holiday_Machine9312

Just block them. Short sided bad takes are no friend.

  14. Euphoric-Whole-3133

    Toumani Camara
    Shaedon Sharpe
    Scoot Henderson

  15. my_balls_your_mouth1

Get a new friend. He’s too reactionary.

  16. RingFlimsy9547

your friend doesnt know fuck all about basketball. he’s speaking like a half assed fair weather fan. stop arguing with him because its wasting your time. heat will be in full rebuild mode by this time next year and our young’s will be 8th or 7th seed.

  17. Mother-Buyer-8006

How many minutes does your friend want to take away from sharpe to get herro in the game? That trade just made no sense for us on any level

  18. gabeharris23

If your team is somehow doing worse than the team that’s very obviously tanking, you’ve got problems

  19. huggybear0132

Ayton leads the league in rebounds, is 2nd in steals, and is top 5 in some advanced defensive stats. They didn’t trade for him to score.

  20. PopDouglas

The Heat look like dog water and Herro’s numbers have been inflated by him being the only player who’s scoring even at a moderate pace on their entire squad.

  21. ShaedonSharpeMVP_

Are you talking about total points scored? Cause right now he’s sitting at the No. 15 spot with Shai, Dame, and Giannis still being him and going to pass him easily once they’re out of their slumps.

  22. natural_lawg

Kobe holds the record for most missed shots with LeBron behind him.

  23. dont_care-

And brogdon? Camara? Sharpe growth because he isnt sharing a court with Herro? The 5 future firsts/swaps?

Time lord getting injured isn’t the bulletproof argument that idiot thinks it is.

  24. torresk

I mean it’s the Heat’s MO but I’mma be real surprised if the Heat make playoffs this season. They should be glad Herro’s balling out and they’re not having to rely on a 34 year old Butler with knee issues. Blame Riley for locking up your assets by paying Lowry and Robinson $57 mil this year. Tell him good luck with finding those undrafted players, they’re gonna need it because Jovic, JJJ and Josh Richardson ain’t moving the needle

  25. PoliceBroTality

Herro is currently 5th in FGA, but 15th in scoring.

  26. ItsMoreOfAComment

Aren’t the Heat like 2 and 4 or something?

  27. Jabba-da-slut

Herro is scoring a lot but is still a net neutral on the court. Essentially he’s a hood stats bad team guy. He’s a terrible defender and would have made no sense with Ant, Sharpe, and Scoot. Ayton needs to be used better on offense but is playing good defense and rebounding like a fucking champ. We’re still better off not having traded for Miami’s junk

  28. Mister_Mangina

Has your friend seen Shaedon Sharpe play basketball? Don’t understand being lustful over Herro when we have a guy who is 4 years younger at the same position averaging 20/6/3 on better efficiency than him.
