They just want us to fail. There is no hope for them, they know their two biggest assets are walking for nothing, they don’t own this years pick.
They have nothing to look forward to this year so they just are holding out hope something bad happens to the Sixers.

Need a playmaker and defender if we are maxing that player.
Someone that’s averaging at least 18 pts, 6 assists and playing elite defense.
OG isn’t going to grow as a player here. We’ve already seen exactly what OG is under Nick Nurse’s tutelage and it’s a 3 and d wing.

They’re Canadian. I know as Philly sports fans we can certainly have some lil brother syndrome moments. Now imagine being from Canada.

Embiid isn’t close to asking out. He looks happier than he’s looked in years out there. He wants whatever’s best for the team’s future.

Between raps and Knicks fans, who’s the more delusional fan base? Real tough question.
TerminallyTrill
If we use our assets on a valuable piece and he is an off-season acquisition I think it’s probably worth it.
mistergrape
There’s no one likely available via FA or trade in the next 6-12 months that’s worth a max. And that’s a good thing.

These are just the regurgitation of Ringer and ESPN takes.

Lamest fanbase in the league.

OG is not an RFA correct? If he ops out and is a free agent he can choose the best situation for him, and not worrying about the team matching an offer and having to accept it?
He might go most money not winning anything and being cold all the time or really good money and winning games in a better climate.
Not saying he will choose a Sixers, but it could not be 100% about the money.

Toronto’s time in the spotlight is now almost 5 years old and they’re back in obscurity. Let them whine and squirm.

OG is decidedly different player than Tobias who fits much better alongside Embiid and Maxey. Accounting for cap changes + inflation that contract wouldn’t be bad. Whoever signs him will have to overpay but that’s just how FA always works.
EagleswonSuperBowl52
I love OG and want to sign him. But maxing him is gonna be like maxing Tobi all over again. Sure he is a great player, but we are gonna feel underwhelmed by his game knowing that he is making the max and taking away money that we could have spent on additional players if he was making less per year.

They’re just a very sad franchise. I would be too if my only success came from a star player who hated everything about the city/fans, was forced to play there, then bolted as soon as soon as he could.
