The Celtics shot ~39% in each of the last two games. Lost one in OT. Missed game-tying shot at buzzer in the other. They’re barely losing on poor shooting nights, which is an early indication that they have a pretty wide margin for error.

In the last 2 games, the opponets had elite rim protectors, and we were shooting poorly from 3. It is hard to attack against the rim protector when there is no space. Sixers and Wolves are pretty good teams at the beginning of the season too. We still managed to drag these games to crunch time. I am not too worried right now.

  2. Philly shot 26% from 3. This is copium in a nutshell. You have to be able to get to the FT line and score somewhere other than behind the arc.

You will find that the people of this sub much prefer to act like the sky is falling after every loss, and they alone know the moves to fix this team (they all start with firing the coach and trading the same player). Your levelheadedness will be met with verbal rock-throwing lol

  4. The biggest issue with the threes is how rushed they are there’s a reason we shot so poorly.

The bench is 90% of the error. Pritchard and horford are playing 40+ minutes combined providing absolutely zero on offense in most of the games so far

The fact that Jaylen “300 Million Dollar Man” Brown was 2-11 FG, 0-5 from 3, had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and a whopping 5 points well into the 4th quarter before he hit 2 prayer 3’s and had a nice block is what I’m thinking about tonight.

Let’s not forget the same dumb turnovers and losing defense this guy brings. Keep making excuses..this dude will be the reason, AGAIN, that we don’t get a ring

We’re a great team but the truth is we’re too top heavy, we cannot run out lineups of Hauser/Kornet/PP at the same time, it feels like that is when teams punish us the most.

You have to be more creative with how you stagger lineups, we need to implement more Stevens/Brisset/Banton minutes instead, perhaps we get busy at the trade deadline for a 6th man. These are issues that we will resolve as the season progresses. We have some of our depth solutions sitting on the bench I think Brad will force Joe to look at some of the end of rotation guys here shortly.

We have issues in our depth and it seems at the end of the games we have a your turn-my turn mentality which makes me realize why Smart shot so many end game shots over these years. Nobody knows what to do with the ball. Tatum defers and doesn’t force the ball in his hands end game.
