[Joe Viray] Warriors’ bench outscored their Nuggets counterparts by a whopping 30 points (42-12). The team was a +7 in the 13.5 minutes Steph Curry was on the bench.

I’ll add to this what might be the craziest part about the final score of this game, that the Nuggets may or may not actually have deserved to win (objectively speaking, with the goaltend it’s a tie score so we really don’t know how it would have ended if it had rightfully, at minimum, gone to OT), the # of minutes played by each team’s starters:

**Warriors:**
Steph – 34
Looney – 29
Klay – 32
Wiggs – 28
Dario – 26
Avg mins played by starters: 29.8 min

**Nuggets:**
Jokic – 36
Gordon – 34
MPJ – 36
Reggie Jackson – 32
KCP – 35
Avg mins played by starters: 34.6 min

The Nuggets had to play their starters nearly 5 mins more than our starters to scrape by with a win they may have not even deserved. Yes, they didn’t have Jamal but we also didn’t have Dray or GPII. Steph also only scored 23 pts and shot 35% lol and it was *still* that close. And again, this on top of our guys playing on the road, exhausted at the very end of 9 games in 9 different cities in 15 days with the Nuggets playing at home, which was also their 6th home game of the season.

I like our chances vs Denver in the western conference playoffs.

This game gave me hope. Our bench totally owned their bench and I couldn’t believe how effective the rookies were – kudos to TJD and Podziemski.

I think we can beat them in a 7 game series if everyone stays healthy.

Games like tonight make me unsure who’s taking the bigger leap. Moody or Kuminga..

  3. Really wished Kerr woulda kept JK on the floor to close. He had the highest +/- of the game while Saric had the 2nd lowest and was 0-3 from deep. Woulda liked TJD as well, who sets nice screens for our shooters.

    Oh well, so it goes.

Kerr got the closing lineup wrong. Starters need to step up. They have come a long way down from the best starting lineup last year.

They should start the bench and bench some starters 😊

    I love this.

Just need some of our starters to get back to form!

  7. Last night, our bench rocked. however, it’s worth mentioning that Murray was absent, and we should consider their field goal percentage for a fair assessment as well.

Huge difference this season than last. No longer have to worry about the second unit digging a hole only for Steph to get them out. Very encouraging. Just need more from our starting wings.
