Chris Boucher SPEAKS OUT on Minutes – The Raptors Have a NEW Closer… | Raptors News

Toronto Raptors forward Chris Boucher has been given inconsistent minutes this season and after a strong performance against the Dallas Mavericks, he had some interesting comments regarding his role with the team. Additionally, it looks like Darko Rajakovic has found a new closer for the squad. Ben Rogers breaks it all down.

  1. Boucher is average bench player- i feel Achiwa is better and more consistent
    Beach mob
    Flynn. Trent
    Porter Siakam/ Barnes Achiwa
Dick- should get minutes ahead of every that i did not mention
let's don't be naive- think like coaches.
we can be top 6-8 let's be realistic

  2. I definitely think we gotta trade Chris. In a .5 offence you need good quick decision makers on the floor and Chris doesn’t have the level of IQ it takes to be on the bench especially when we already have Otto playing whose miles better. Package him for another established shooter and we could really create a great second unit.

  3. Boucher is decent, but our team is two deep this year. Who sits over him, Otto Porter? Achiwa? I dont think so. I'm sure Mcdaniels didn't sign with us to ride the pine either, is what it is.

  4. Boucher is better than Mcdaniels, Precious is battling injury and is very hot/cold. Otto Porter still needs to prove himself and missed all of last year. Boucher has been playing well in the limited minutes he has had this year. Plus Boucher is Canadian so you gotta love that. We should definitely not trade Boucher.

  5. Achiwa is garbage. Hands of stone and I cringe every time he tries to catch a pass or worse try and dribble. He misses a ton of finger rolls and one foot put ins. I would play Chris over him any day.

  6. Imagine taking a normal person and stretching them out to 6'8. That's essentially who Chris is. He wasn't lucky enough to get the normal added thickness other people do at that height. The fact that it doesn't stop him and he's as ferocious as people that outweigh him by 40+ lbs is why he's one of my favourites!

  7. Chris give it all everytime he's on the floor, u see the decisiveness, and being aggressive out there plus he got IQ.

  8. I honestly think if Chris was able to bulk up it would have helped his career. That boneheaded play on Demar in the Chicago game when he jumped on a typical Demar pump fake with seconds left in the game is part of why Darko don’t seem to trust him, and why Nurse didn’t trust him either. The problem with players like Chris and Precious is they’re good for at least a few bone headed players that can cost you a game.

  9. Why didn't Chris play for Team Canada, he would've helped a lot bounding around out there getting rebounds, running the floor, hitting the odd 3. I remember he used to get regular 22-25 pts >10 rebs games running pick and roll with Kyle. Iconic Canadian player, blingual too.

  10. There’s no denying that Boucher’s hustle is elite, but everybody’s brainwashed on that and not realizing that he has no IQ whatsoever. If we’re targeting a need (possibly shooting) at the deadline, I’d gladly trade him for that kind of need. One of Boucher or Precious must go.

  11. I can understand giving him a couple DNP's early this season to get looks at other options, but his play so far has been good enough that I don't think he should be coming out of the rotation anymore until his play drops off. His current 3pt% is literally on 6 shots, and meaningless.
