Trae trash for missing the free throw that would’ve gave him 42 and the Mexico record 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

  2. Sinxatz

Happy to win but not a great 2nd half effort but overall W!

  3. LunarLion10

Mexico got a show tonight. That was an exciting finish to send those fans home happy

  4. NoItsBosnian

Copying my comment from the game thread. Ugly-ass game. Way too many ill-advised 3s from Trae towards the end. But a win against a legitimately good Magic team in a city 7 000+* feet in the air? I’ll take what I can get

  5. Memphis1717

Anyone else’s broadcast cut out on the last magic possession???? My fkn heart was pumping

  6. dan-danson

trae getting back into the swing of things a little earlier than usual, that’s a very good sign for this season🤩

  7. DoctorTheWho

LMAO at Magic fans calling the Hawks “shit.” The perennial cellar dwellers should know by now what a shitty team is…

  8. thejontorrweno

How do I listen to the radio call if I’m not in my car or using a physical radio? The Audacity app or whatever takes me to the national CBS show, not the Hawks postgame show

  9. BryantBuckets

How has no Hawk scored more than 41 against this average ass franchise.

  10. c_rizzle53

Nice clutch win just need to do something about the rebounding and defense. I’ve noticed we’re slick getting killed in zone by the bad rotations but there’s still 74 games to tighten up

  11. No-Forever-6104

JJ was the best all around player for 4 quarters and that is high praise cuz Trae scored 40 we are cooking now 🔥🔥😮‍💨😮‍💨

  12. berryjamar9

Did they take an assist away from Jalen ??? I thought he had 3

  13. ippocratic_oat

Never say die!!! What a wonderful ending. Trae with a great pass to Dejountae for 3!!!!!! Viva La Raza ATL!!! Caw caw caw!!!!!

  14. ahend1999

my head hurts, i feel like i have a contact high just from seeing us pull off the win. hawks have work to do, but my anger is packed away for another night. goodnight!!

  15. ATLHawksfan

    65 free throws…fucking refs.

Nevertheless, Trae picked up a few thousand more Hawks fans tonight.

  16. not-a-potato-head

1-0 in the Harry the Hawk OnlyFans era

  17. CrookedHillaryBernie

If anyone really watched the game— Trae sold in the second half

  18. WzrdKelly10

Shoutout the first unit for lockin shit up in the clutch. DJ, Dre, JJ, and CC had them in hell! JJ in particular was giving Paolo NIGHTMARES. And shoutout to Trae! Went crazy in the first half, cooled off the second half, but I love how he kept attacking the defense in the paint late in the game. Put the cherry on top with that last play to Dejounte. That pass was elite and it’s wild how he does that pass literally every night lol good team win

  19. ATL_Hasher

I can’t believe Jalen Johnson is on our team

  20. Phil21700

seeing a lot of comments about how ugly of a game that was and trae slowing down in the second half.

and i don’t disagree, but dude that’s definitely a game we lose last year, especially against a great defense like they had.

    go hox

  21. No-Forever-6104

After looking rough in that first half it was nice to see capela show up to the game down the stretch

  22. Chessh2036

Good W from the Hawks. Trae pretty much had a perfect first half, his second half his worst tendency’s started to show up (jacking up 3’s) but overall he was good tonight. That pass to Murray was awesome. Lots to clean up, but we beat a good team tonight.

  23. techtwit3

Our front court is way too small imo.

    – Jonathon Isaac 7’0 – 7 rebounds
    – Mo Wagner 6’11 – 7 rebounds
    – Paolo Banchero 6’10 – 8 rebounds
    – Franz Wagner 6’10 – 7 rebounds
    – Goga Bitadze 6’10 – 5 rebounds
    – Joe Ingles 6’9 – 3 rebounds

    On our side

    – Clint Capela 6’10 – 11 rebounds
    – Jalen Johnson 6’8 – 9 rebounds
    – Onyeka Okongwu 6’8 – 2 rebounds
    – Deandre Hunter 6’8 – 0 rebounds
    – Saddiq Bey 6’7 – 3 rebounds

There’s a pretty big size disadvantage, but even then, there’s no reason that Bey, Hunter, and Okongwu are rebounding less than Trae, Dejounte and Bogi. We know Hunter is bad on the glass, but we can’t progress as a team if Okongwu doesn’t improve his rebounding. Thankfully Jalen has been able to compensate a little.

Orlando coach and analysts all saying it was the Magic’s 10 missed free throws was the reason for the loss – but they hit 25/35 for 71% – the team average is 73%. Why do people think that because they are called “free” throws that the % make should be 100% and not be like any other type of shot?

  25. ATL_Hasher

Does no one else find it insane that we’ve played the Magic 133 times in the regular season and we’ve never had a player drop over 40 on them until today? My god

  26. DownTheHall4

    Yo…

When we left Paul Bench wide open for three with 2 minutes left…

    AND HE BRICKED IT!!!!!!

LMFAO DJ in that boys head

  27. Ithinkso85

You know what? Coach Snyder held a masterclass in the 4th, regarding Young. I can attest I’ve never seen such smart coaching here for the Hawks in a while. Essentially, the magic were seeking Young on defense, which makes sense. Q removes him, we make our push, essentially going with our defensive lineup. When he was needed the most, almost right away, Q sends him back in there and let him cook. It’s the little things I’ve noticed this season so far, and early returns are looking nice 👍🏾

  28. I officially grant Trae Young the privilege of being an honorary Mexican citizen welcome to la raza ❄️🇲🇽

  29. Eastatlantalit

Points are great but 3 turnovers is the Trae we really need

  30. realdusty_shelf

My son once asked me “dad, is Trae Young Mexican?”After tonight, I think it’s pretty obvious

  31. Eastatlantalit

This is a win in the grand scheme will help us . How many times does this core usually lose a game like this and look back at the end at one of the many games we should have won . Winning a division game all that matters

  32. No-Forever-6104

I also love that Trae took 15 threes and no idc that he only made 5 of them the shots opened up driving lanes and made everything easier. Can’t be discouraged with misses
