Shannon Sharpe defends his stance on LeBron James needing Miami Heat years to be the GOAT | Nightcap

Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson react to the backlash Shannon got for criticizing LeBron James’ dismissive comments about his years in Miami, saying that he’d still have his GOAT status without his years with the Heat alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Unc doubles down on his take that LeBron wouldn’t be in the GOAT conversation with Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar if he hadn’t won two rings in South Beach.

  1. Smh lebron would be tha same player. Resume might look different but he’s still him.
Y’all pick nd choose when winning a championship matters.

  2. Ocho don’t let him try to talk anymore I like Shannon but he’s 100% wrong and not a true LeBron at this point I believe that I’m not just saying that

  3. Shannon probably realized overnight that he is wrong and just cannot admit to the public…now he finds himself hated by millions of Lebron fans…

  4. Yeah unc right…if LeBron never won any rings he wouldn't even be in the conversation

  5. Unc you heard Bron wrong. He said he would probably have less ships but would be still the same dominant player and he’s right. He would’ve still been dominant! If Cleveland was a better city he would’ve never had to go to Miami people would’ve came to Cleveland. Paul George wanted to go but David griffin is a horrid GM!

  6. He wouldn't have 4 rings if it wasn't for Miami. D wade taught him how to be a champion respectfully

  7. Lebron would have not been the same player wow I am amazed how people don't see that . Ocho learn the game bro lebron is great and I am actually a fan of his but I speak in reality he is lucky Kyrie and Ray Allen bailed him out or he wouldn't have that many

  8. I don’t care about how they want anything they still want it if LeBron would’ve never left Cleveland and didn’t have that mental breakdown against the Celtics they could’ve possibly won that year and he would’ve originally won his first championship with no supporting cast. I wish he would have because he was brutalizing the Celtics and all of a sudden it seem like he just stop playing.

  9. HOL’UP‼️ in the discussion of whether or not LeBron James would have won a title with Chicago in 2011, aunt and Chad are both missing that D Wade was a leader who complemented LeBron, mentally spiritually, as well as physically. He gave up his title as a leader of the team, without being diminished. He allowed another king to come into his kingdom. Not many men would be able to have the camaraderie that D Wade had to make that team. Great to make that transition work! Some players would come into conflict, which can jeopardize their wedding and because it didn’t happen, we won’t know what a muddafuqing happen with D Wade, in the Miami!

  10. Unc you wouldn’t say Robert Horry or Bill Russell is the goat so no rings don’t matter like you’re making it out to be. They have more than Jordan and Kareem yet ain’t mentioned at all in that discussion.

  11. Drew brees was great in football only one ring and his stats was close to Brady til Brady kept playing 😂
