I like everything about incentivizing the players to play more games and all. The courts have too much color its not appealing to watch on a TV screen. Although the Kings have this kind of neutral gray that might be easy on the eyes than these other teams that have too much contrast of colors.
Do you care about the tournament? If not, what would make oyu care?
I care. I’m competitive. If you aren’t in it to win it, why you even playing? But, the league wants the Lakers to win … so, watch for a scandal. How interesting!!!!!!!!
This game is the true litmus test for a foxless team. We all saw this OKC team coming last year. Similar trajectory to what we think the Beam team is capable of.
Tournament or tourniquet (Foxless woes)?
19 FTA in under 30 minutes is super rare … like once every 2 years sort of thing … Embiid did it like two years ago
Remember when Keegan destroyed Summer League? We need that guy to show up for the in-season tournament.
I just want to see the damn beam 👑🟣🔦
I just feel like monk gonna go for 30-35 points
We’re gonna win I still believe we are contenders
🦸🚀 No more beamless nights!! Good luck on your in season tournament SacTown. 🍃
Davion is about to get shredded by shai 😔 Davion is so garbage.
I'm all for more competition for the players, I think the in-season tourney is going to be a staple for years to come and people will come around to it.
As for tonight, I think it's gonna be a tough one to win without Fox/Lyles… If they do beat OKC with an undermanned squad, their confidence has got to skyrocket, and hopefully Fox is back within the next couple games!
Great preview as always! Either of you on pre/postgame tonight?
These are division/c9nference games that I want us to win anyway.
In season tournaments work in Europe because they have upper and lower divisions within their league. Also that helps with tanking.
Players are $$excited $$ about it $$, as a fan, nah. It is a gimmick the NBA has come with to get more viewers IMO …
I care. And i hope the players look at like they should care, and come out with passion
I care about WINS deuce !
Prayers that night chat doesn’t act up
I'm pretty upset that fox is still out since this will be my first IRL game, but I know we can win this. We held fully healthy GSW to a 1 possesion game at chase center without fox, and GSW got the win over OKC. It's a winnable match up.
Also if Huerter keeps improving that will be huge. I got a lot of faith in him. Some of his shots last game seemed rushed towards the end to try and get us back in the game fast, but before that he was shooting at an elite level again.
The more I think about the Kings without Fox, the more I feel this is a great opportunity to see who really fits in their scheme and plan. There is NO doubt that when Fox returns, hopefully 100% healthy, he will be an instant spark plug for a team that desperately needs it, but this gives opportunities for Mike to evaluate and open the doors to others who want to seize the moment, CARPE DIEM! If Mike can identify a player or players who he did not think would originally be a part of the rotation and now sees they can make a difference……that's going to pay huge dividends in the long run for the Kings.
The league has more parity and there are NO easy games, thus having a deeper bench with reliable players in your system is going to really help them, especially if Mike can trust him and if said player can get some valuable experience while Fox is out. I think we're looking at this in the wrong way.
As for the in-season-tournament, it's a gimmick and we all know this, but it does add a little spice to the games. I'm open to it for this season and then let's evaluate it later on.
Above all, there is NO reason to rush Fox early in the season. The Kings want a healthy Fox, not one that will be prone to injury. It's still early.
Let's see who steps up and accepts the challenge! This is where a player rises to the moment and puts the league on notice, and tonight's game against the Thunder is NOT going to be easy at all, but a great opportunity for a player out of the rotation to rise. We'll see.
Also, Keegan seems to be shooting to the right consistently, and it looks like his hand/wrist injury has affected his shot, but he just needs to adjust and aim more to the left perhaps, or get some easy shots up close to get him going. It seems it's all in his head. Too much thinking! Just do! Needs to harness his inner Zen and trust everything he has worked so hard to do. We believe in you Keegan! Let's GO!
