I’m not one to cry about refs generally, but the way they handled Jaren’s ejection was embarrassing. These people are supposed to be professional. They should have some standards. Instead they’re ignoring blatant fouls giddy for the opportunity to eject someone.
The Jazz played well and deserved to win. They shouldn’t be overshadowed by amateur hour bullshit.
I don’t even expect the Grizzlies to keep up on the foul calls, we aren’t playing basketball that is going to get teams in foul trouble. But these people are missing clear, blatant hacks, and then instantly blowing the whistle for a T. Ref the fucking game.

Adam Silver and the NBA has done nothing on a communications standpoint to explain to fans why the games are called a particular way. Its asinine that in a league where sports betting is legal, that fans get no explanation why one set of refs chooses to call the game a different way than another set of refs. The barely audible coaches challenge explanation. A measly last 2 minute report in a world where there are a billion data points.
Reffing is the only thing that I can see that might make me stop watching the game one day.
Why can’t they publish pre-game reports for how games will be called. It probably isn’t a surprise to the coaches and players that “Scott Foster is probably calling the game this way tonight unlike how Bill Kennedy called it 2 nights ago”. Give us a mini library of video examples of what this ref has called in the past. Let us audit the game or something..

Refs have no respect for small market teams. The utter disregard of our complaints game after game is the difference between us and the warriors when it comes to ref treatment. Watch the whole TJ interview, he repeatedly mentions that refs refuse to converse with the Grizz about enforcing stuff that has been going on all game. Don’t get me wrong we suck, but so do the refs; the difference is there is no changes being made for the small market grizz.

At what point does the NBA intervene with the officials and make them accountable for bad/missed calls? Does every team in the league have to do something drastic for that to happen?
I get it that these refs are the best in the world at what they do. I remember when the NFL had replacement refs for a few weeks while the regular refs were on strike and it was an absolute nightmare. But…at the same time, they should be held accountable when it looks like they are heavily favoring one team for one reason or another.
