It’s obvious to me that the Celtics see the garbage minutes as valuable minutes for the bench to grow. To do this Mazulla treats the game no different from when he coaches his all stars. If he doesn’t treat it seriously how is he going to expect his players to. I honestly respect it and think it’s a good perspective to have to develop your lesser players.

I think this is the 3rd season that I remember where refs mostly fucked up during the 1st 2 months. So many inconsistencies. The first that I can remember was the season where Shawn Livingston was yelling at a ref’s face.

They’re paid athletes and games are forty-eight minutes long. It sets a precedence for the team, calls out the referees, and some of those minutes mean a lot to young / rotation players trying to earn minutes.
