Kristaps Porzingis is leading the league in True Shooting

among players with more than 75 field goals attempted, which is currently the top 137 players in the NBA.

Here’s an [NBA stats table](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/advanced?CF=FGA*G*75&dir=A&sort=TS_PCT) and [here’s a graph](https://i.imgur.com/GOZpULp.png) of field goal attempts per 36 minutes vs true shooting.

Steph Curry was in the lead, but has come back down from the stratosphere the last few games.

If you [lower the baseline](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/advanced?CF=FGA*GE*50&dir=-1&sort=TS_PCT) to 50 FGA, Sam Hauser pops up in 5th place (70.3) and Kristaps drops to 7th.

I know we’re only 9 games in but considering some of the defenses we’ve had to play this looks really well for our whole team .

The KP pickup has been way better than I imagined it would be and I liked the move from a basketball perspective when it happened (although emotionally I was sad to see smart go). Also love that Nesmith and Grant are in the top 6 – Celtics drafting has been excellent the past few years.

I was very happy with last game. One thing it seemed like guys are getting better at is finding him “behind” them when they drive in the PnP. At the beginning of the year, it felt like Jrue/Brown/Tatum would drive on the PnP, defenses would collapse and KP would be wide open. The issue is that it requires the driver to both see that KP is open behind them and make that weird over the head hook pass OR find the guy across the court if someone on the weakside quickly recovers to KP. Last game was the first time I thought they did both well. A very promising sign.

If we can continue/improve at doing that, then the offense will truly be unstoppable. One nice thing about our offense right now is that teams typically AREN’T doubling anymore and it’s because they can’t leave KP.

KP is THE key to this offense being different than in years past.

We should run the offense through Porzingis when Tatum is on the bench.

I love how we’re using him. Actually punishing teams for going small. He’s just flipping shots in over people’s heads.
