Team needs a real backcourt badly. Every single roster move needs to be made in accordance with fit alongside Paolo and Franz.

  2. kittysparkles

Not sure if we’re gonna win this soccer tournament.

  3. treadwater23

Watching Haliburton’s box scores every night makes me weep for a PG like him.

  4. jordanManfrey

that game was like a game of NBA2K where I start out playing pretty sober but by the end I’m kind of drunk and nothing I’m doing makes any sense and we lose by 20 or whatever

  5. Terrible game in every facet, they hit every conceivable shot while we couldn’t buy a bucket for half the game. Have to shoot better than that going forward and put more effort into guarding the 3-point line. These games happen though.

  6. Game1Magic

Man, this team still has a long way to go before we even think about doing anything competitive. That goes for the in season tournament as well as the postseason. We have to learn how to close out games. Somehow we need to keep the offense flowing.

  7. ffootballer21

The Nets didn’t have Cam Thomas or Simmons…

  8. Magic_Fan69

Our offense just sucks when guys can’t hit at least 33% from deep. Feels bad for paolo, everytime he gets the ball every nets player just goes and sits in the paint. I’m not gonna overreact to a game where obviously the nets played out of their own minds. But I would say joe ingles played too long in the second half, he wasn’t shooting and was really just being a liability, would’ve liked to see JI in his place or even Caleb. Just a sloppy sloppy second half of this game. Refs also sucked, I wonder if paolo is ever gonna be able to get the calls other players get

  9. ffootballer21

At some point we have to add an offensive threat to the team

  10. jakehightower

Desperately needed Fultz to initiate. With three guys out you can’t survive nights that awful from Suggs and Cole.

  11. The next time we have a good game I’m going to remember that 4th quarter, to remind myself that this is not a serious team. This long boi hustle and D shtick will only get you so far. Lost to a bunch of role players because We. Can’t. Shoot. My god that was bad.

  12. Milla4Prez66

We lost with guard play. Their guards cooked us and ours all played terribly.

  13. Conditioning needs to improve if we’re going to continue to blow every game at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

  14. This team gotta put realistic lineups that can open up real space Suggs and black together is asking for zero spacing paired with a center who can’t space and a power forward who’s not a great shooter is just dumb lineup construction.

Suggs can be fine at point with the offense running 100% through paolo and franz but you must have a pure shooter next to him and I’d heavily consider giving JI some run at the 5 to allow for more spacing. Paolo was the best shooter tonight for the team and that’s brutal because that’s not his game. This offense hasn’t been good all year so I don’t think it’s an overreaction and this opens up paolo and franz to have easier driving lanes

  15. Blushirtkid

It’s wild. We were 5-20 last year and yet with the start this year y’all are still mad. We definitely missed Fultz tonight and Paolo and Franz were definitely missing a green light. We lost to a team who just out played us because they were vets. We will have some of those games.

  16. banchero98

Those who praise Suggs for his overrated defense don’t understand basketball. He’s a sack of shit offensively.

  17. Commercial-Future510

I don’t want suggs to take the third most shots

  18. The deep three point shots from Franz are quickly becoming my least favorite. He played a great third quarter but I’m noticing he takes very ill advised shots in the fourth quarter and kills a lot of the momentum (not only this game). This team’s biggest flaw, other than outside shooting, seems to be late game execution when we are down double digits in the fourth quarter. In today’s nba a ten point lead can easily vanish, unfortunately for our squad we are usually on the receiving end of this. Most if not all our wins have been ones where we secure a good lead and cushion ourselves for the final quarter. If they’re able to get past the fourth quarter nerves and sloppiness that comes with younger players that’ll allow us to ascend from a play in team to middle of the pack playoff team. A team like the heat are taking our lunch money in a playoff series.

  19. billiedagoat

We play the Bulls a couple of times and the Pacers, then go home. I want us to get a couple of those. We are still fine for the season. As frustrating as this is we are still a good team. Shit did not bounce our way tonight. Everyone is getting all butthurt because our expectations are high but this team still needs tweaks to the roster and growth in general if we want to be real contenders.

  20. Effective_Owl_17

No way the rockets are 6-3 and we’re behind them

  21. Fire Mosely!
    Trade Suggs!

Willl be fun to read all the overreactions.

Honestly, all we saw was a missing PG.
Lots of turn overs leading to fast break points. Cole can’t play SL PG, neither can AB(yet).

Everything else was ok at least.

Need Kelle organising against certain teams, even without a 3pt shot.

  22. Charming_Lion211

All I gotta say is if we win tomorrow I can’t wait to compare the overreactions 😂

  23. ActApprehensive3271

No shooting and poor defense, same ol same ol nothing new.

  24. ChannelNeo

We went bar for bar with the Nets for three quarters and then the Nets immediately made it the Spencer Dinwiddie Show. We had chances to make it a game, but some tough misses, lackadaisical defense along with bad decisions killed whatever chances we had in the fourth tonight. Not all is lost. We’re .500 (5-5) right now. A much better place than last year.

  25. CaptainBananafishJr

Somebody get the ball out of Suggs hands man, Jesus. Why does he have this green light?

  26. Blading_at_45

As they stand right now, this team isn’t good enough to make the playoffs. Hopefully that changes as the season goes on.

  27. treadwater23

I think fans try to micromanage stuff a bit too much. Suggs was amazing (for his standards) on offense the prior 2 games and tbh even in the first half was fine.. now people are saying he had the ball too much, or like benching Ingles after he saved us in the first half.. or not playing Cole at all.

That leaves us basically with zero options playable in the backcourt if Black is ineffective tonight, unless people blindly buy into Jett being our savior.

People just have to hit shots. Sometimes it’s that simple.

  28. Programmer-Gullible

Mavs got their ass handed to them. But according to this sub’s logic, they should completely blow the team up

  29. raphael87

WCJ and Fultz help out a lot this game. Cole turned it over a ton and we struggled to have any offensive identity. They beat us on the offensive glass, which we have been pretty good at this year. Black and Goga have played admirably, but we missed our starters tonight.

  30. actualoldcpo

Fuck, you are some childish fans. In other news, I’m not hating Ryan Bass.

  31. GrouchyUniversityy

Our back court is a real problem. Suggs was very bad playing way too fast and Cole got cooked on defense down the stretch.

We desperately need to trade for an elite shooting PG/SG. No team is ever going far with a PG who doesn’t even attempt threes. Spacing looked bad and it will look even worse when Fultz is back. Guy had a nice comeback but I just don’t see how he fits on this team when he’s no where near a three point threat.

  32. Herban_Myth

    Weak 1st & 4th.

    Can’t be going 20%.

Can’t allow teams to score like that.

  33. treadwater23

It’s really quite simple though. As good as Paolo and Franz are, they’re 21 and 22 year olds tasked with leading an oft-injured team that has no real shooting backcourt with a roster that is also still very young around them.

We’re going to be up and down all season.

And like it or not, Houston bringing in even flawed, expensive vets in Brooks and FVV helps them immensely because they can defend and make threes and take the burden off of the young guys a bit.. and those are like B-/C+ guys in terms of long-term impact.

We’re set with our forwards, maybe set with Suggs as a disruptive guard at SG or off the bench, but we absolutely need a long-term third piece, ideally at point guard or shooting guard.

  34. radardog2

Terrible offense led to easy buckets for the Nets. Doesn’t help that they were shooting well from three too. Our defense wasn’t there tonight and our offense isn’t near good enough to save us when our defense isn’t clicking.

I’ve also learned that I don’t really care about in-season tournament games.

Solid game from Moe, probably the most consistent guy we’ve had so far this season. Dude always shows up and plays hard.

Goga’s stats are solid but he got blown by smaller guys like Dinwiddie all game and was a net negative due to defense.

We need Fultz and WCJ back badly.

Also, it was one of those “Jesus Christ Suggs what are you doing” type of games… and not the good ones.

  35. SpideyUdaman

Shame they weren’t able to keep it tight and ahead at 4th.

  36. SonicNarcotic

Fultz, Harris and WCJ would’ve helped..

    …but injuries.😮‍💨
