  1. Trae with another stellar 33% shooting from the field. Imagine if he shot 40% we would have won.

  2. myhellcatgotRepod

Genuine question do the Hawks have a winning record against any team besides the Wizards and the TWolves in the Trae Young era? Those are the only two teams I’m positive the Hawks got a winning record against

  3. IllumiXXZoldyck

Jalen was too busy putting some excellent defense on Robinson, if only we had more clamp down defenders for Randle and Brunson

  4. Trae’s muscle memory is cooked due to weight lifting during the offseason, this isn’t some slump, he’s gonna be like this all season and beyond

  5. PrinceKarmaa

i would like to point out the hawks were winning this game before quin subbed back in the starters . trae and jalen + the bench unit was getting it done..

  6. Atl-Fan_FTS

I’m at a loss for words. There is so much wrong with this team where do you even start. This just simply isn’t a competitive squad besides JJ, Bogi and Bey. The only ones that show up every night and play hard. Everyone else can get fucked

  7. realdusty_shelf

Don’t care about the sensitive fans coming after me… We lose too many close games where Trae shoots like SHIT. If he doesn’t figure it out this year we seriously need to consider taking offers. He’s making the most money in the organization outside of anyone named Ressler, we need to demand better.

His game is genuinely so ugly to watch when he’s not efficiently hitting shots. I think the fact he’s always been on bad teams since he was in HS makes it hard for him to figure out how to play winning basketball.

He needs to be in a situation where he’s not the first option, it’s seemingly the only way he will ever win a ring.

  8. EuroStepJam

Hawks need to get someone to bring in off the bench when they need to go big – too many games where 3 biggest players are all on the opposition

  9. Shade_Raven

DeAndre Hunter midrange shots feel just don’t feel like a connective or net positive part of our offense, what does that open up? Who plays off of it? Nothing

Trae and DJM playmake and penetrate off their midrange game.

  10. Weird night. Hunter and OO invisible, Clint got shunk, JJ was Michael Jordan but also never got the ball, Bogi was hot until it mattered. Randle and Brunson continue to be unstoppable against this team.

  11. Frostythesnowmeme

Also I’d rather put stock into Kobe at this point AJ just isn’t gonna work out here. Do everything it takes to get Caruso and fuck it throw in Hunter and some other shit for Levine

  12. No-Forever-6104

Just close with Bogi or bey they were the ones making shots

  13. Visionz-True

why did quin even put hunter on brunson to begin with? he isnt gonna go to the basket with capela there so just put someone with speed and make him to pull ups hunter is way too slow dude gave up 7 pts in a 1 min span

  14. Bowie_Nichols

I understand Bey and Bogi are defensive liabilities, but they were the hot hands. They sat and the Knicks immediately go on an 8-0 run. I was looking to see if Nate was on the bench.

  15. johnhenryc

Blah blah blah … rebounding is 100% why we lost this game. They had 19 more FG attempts and only won by 2.

  16. The_Truth_Hurts_Yu

So if Collins was overpaid, what is Trae? I wonder how much an inefficient, ball dominate, high assist player who plays no defense is going for these days .

  17. OfferOk8555

Tough L on the back end of a back to back to a solid team. It is what it is. On we move. If we want a chance at this IST shit Philly feels pretty close to a must win. Either way hope we bounce back and play better next game.

    Wasted Bogi masterclass though.

  18. Shade_Raven

Hunter should go somewhere where their looking for literally anybody willing to generate offense, like the Heat or Lakers

  19. Hailfire43

And so the mid starts to creep in… this team is not doing much to inspire confidence in growing from a play-in team

  20. Bowie_Nichols

Also we’re soft as a wet turd. We need a dog in the middle. Clint and OO ain’t it.

  21. aurelianson

one day, we’ll realize that there are more reasons to winning and losing besides trae’s shooting percentage.

  22. Frostythesnowmeme

And last thing I pray teal keeps Shelby busy we need Trae eating burgers again man

  23. Chessh2036

Was hoping Trae would get new dad boost. He remains an elite playmaker (he was awesome passing tonight) but god the efficiency is so bad.

  24. Trill-buddy-mark

Julius Randle is still the worst player in the league

  25. childishgames

Really like this hawks roster, we’re deep all over and playing good basketball. Even our losses have all been competitive.

Having said that, biggest takeaway that we’re lacking so far this season is dawgs. We’ve struggled against teams that are agressive and physical on the glass and make hustle plays, dive for loose balls, etc. We need that style of play from Hunter, but it’s year 6 now and we know we aren’t getting that from him. I would love to try to trade him for a GOOD physical, hustle, defense guy that can play the 2 or the 3.

I don’t know the kind of market Hunter can garner, and probably we’d have to give up more.. but we need someone in the style of a josh hart, derrick white, etc. Is Ricky Rubio an option? idk, just spitballing

  26. thehypeless

Trae had 17 assists, only took 12 shots. 3 steals only 3 turnovers. Not a bad game by Trae at all. He impacted the game and his gravity is undeniable. He’s taking good shots, getting to the line and picking his spots better on defense. the other teams defense is doubling him no matter if he shoots 10/10 or 1/20 because they know he’s too potent with the ball in his hands. Keep that in mind for all the Trae doubters. We ride with 11. Game came down to poor rotations by Quinn at the end and lack of effort from our front court.

  27. BretonHero

Really thought this year would be different but too many repetitive signs.

Hunter and Capela are too weak mentally and spend the game scared. The reason we are always doing terribly in the first is because we might as well play with 3 players.

They do NOT fit this team. They are good players when they’re aggressive but that seems to be a rarity now.

Was really happy for Hunter and thought iq was a new him but he’s back to being a frightened kid on the court

  28. PrinceKarmaa

despite all the evidence pointing to the loss being on something that’s not shooting % trae will still be blamed for everything that goes wrong

  29. Frostythesnowmeme

I lied I came back to say only 1 of the next 27 games is against these 3 bum ass teams that own us so we are so back starting Friday

  30. ATLiensinyosockdraw

Robinson had twice as many offensive rebounds as Clint had total.

  31. Trill-buddy-mark

Missed free throws, not rebounding, questionable rotations, and dumb turnovers. All that and we only lost by two. I fucking hate the knicks

  32. datasxienxe

We let Josh Hart take so many of our rebounds it was almost criminal especially in crunch time
