  1. Ivey proved he can handle the primary ball handling, if Cade cant he can play off ball.

  2. They are repeatedly giving up 120 points a game and all you guys ever talk about is that we need more shooters around Cade. I think it is foolish to believe adding a shooter or two would improve the outcome. If that shooter was also a top defender then yes, but otherwise you are just trading defense for offense.
Killian, Ausar, and Stew are arguably their 3 best defenders.
Ausar is not a good shooter but to me he has been the most valuable player on the team so far and I am really pleased that they drafted him (and I was disappointed when they did as I knew he couldn't shoot). His defense and energy are next level.
Killian has his ups and downs, and I don't think he'll ever be a great shooter, but he has raised his overall offense enough so that he is not the liability he was in the past. Also, he is way better as a point guard running the offense than Cade is…Cade is better off the ball.
Stew has also been a bit of a surprise with his 3 pt. shooting and his improvement on defense.

I see a way better team than we have seen for the past few seasons. They have only played a couple complete games so far, but to me there is a core of players growing into their roles and getting better. Obviously, fans are never very patient, but I see just enough to remain optimistic they can start getting some more wins. I predicted 30 wins so they are not far off that pace.

  3. i know the wins havent been there for the pistons. my knicks team has been playing well but i believe that fools gold. this pistons team has scary potential. monty williams is a heck of coach who doesnt play politics with his squad so you know the cream ia gonna rise to the top. yall have a plethora of young talent that is going to get busy soon. i wouldnt judge this season on wins and losses. im invested in the development of the talent that this squad has. for the fans with low moral hold your head up in a year or 2 pistons gonna run though these other squads in the east including my knicks.

  4. I'm not happy about the team but I am happy my two favorite pistons podcasts are collaborating.

  5. Kevin Knox really surprised me with how he played against Atlanta and the minutes Monty is giving him… Could definitely be a stretch but I'll definitely watch him come Friday.

  6. Pistons fans should be concerned with how often Duren is getting injured. Two season and a lot of small injuries isn't good for a young player.

  7. This team will take time to develop. Without being healthy we won’t have the continuity needed for players to understand what their roles are. In the short term the coaches have to find a lineup that lessens the pressure on Cade. He’s being double and triple teamed and trapped on almost every half court possession. That’s leads to high turnover numbers and creates transition buckets for the opponents. This will take time but I still think we have a good young team with trade-able veteran assets and a ton of cap space going into next year.
