This was the AD I thought we were getting. When the news of the trade dropped I imagined multiple championship runs. AD proved I know nothing about basketball lmao

  2. LethalShooter needs to be tried for war crimes over what he did to AD’s jumper

  3. MrAppleSpoink

I wish we could’ve seen this AD here. The guy can’t fucking move anymore, like at all.

  4. Ill_Celery_7654

He even managed to get in one of his patented AD limps lol… everything was so effortless for him back then. He has to work a lot harder now.

  5. AD now seems like he’s going through the motions… and he should be much more lean lol

  6. Stats aside, you can see how well he moves in the video compared to now. I wonder what his weight was then vs now.

  7. 6-7 yrs + miles + countless lower body injuries will make the difference we see man feels bad

Feels like all of this accelerated in the seasons post bubble. He’s still top 10 and the best defender…but this AD is a defeater of worlds

AD is a very different player than he is from now but idk why anyone is thinking he can’t put up 55 like he did against the wizards. He carried us defensively in the playoffs and stayed healthy for that entire run. He carried us when Lebron was out for that time to go on a winning streak. You take him out of the lineup we lose every single game no matter what. He gained weight for a reason. My only complaint is that his jump shot is broke but 2020 was an outlier season. Man is still dominant and only had 2 bad games out of 11

Man young AD had potential to be the best player in the game and best PF of all time. He’s still great but I feel like his constant injuries really take a tole on the way he plays now

When the fucking Pelicans run better sets for AD than your coach. Look how many off ball designed plays there are to get AD the ball in good spots.

  11. I wonder who the next player to get targeted will be

  12. ActuaryExtension9867

AD changed as a player once he got here. He doesn’t want to be the guy you see in that video. He would make these beautiful cuts and drives to basket which no one could stop. He settles in being a really good player, but he doesn’t have the mentality of greatness. I guess thats fine, but I hope the Lakers don’t see him as a guy you build around.

  13. Willxzero

It’s kind of weird what happened to his shot. You would think it’d get better over time but it’s gotten worse? Bizarre.

  14. LongBeachBr0

He got his ring, some players don’t care to get multiple championships.

  15. Looks like a completely different player. He looks so agile here and his jumpers are effortless.

  16. Rentfreelakerfan

This fanbase is weird as fuck man.

Dude has clearly been thru some injuries. Everyone knows it so what’s the point of comparing him when he was 23? He’s still an elite player.

  17. LebronsPinkyToe

Everyone in here amazed that a 50 pounds lighter and 5 less leg injury AD is faster lmao

  18. lets_talk_basketball

    Few takeaways

    1. He legit looks 30lbs lighter here

    2. Even tho on a lot of possessions he’s out of the paint, they do a great job of getting him diving to the rim when the guards penetrate. Similar to what Bron was doing v Memphis in the playoffs last season.

    3. His jumper had wayyyyyyy more arch than it does now. IDK why his shit is flat all of a sudden

  19. See nowadays he throws himself too much into making a close shot & tries to be all acrobatic only to hurt himself.

  20. Physical-Lie-345

Some of you that want to switch jerseys back to Adidas. I remember Bron use to rip some of these t-jerseys up (Pistons).

  21. Maleficent-Ice-2902

I think the only difference between past AD(in youtube) and current AD is “mid-range”. He needs to put more effort on mid-range practice. That’s all. AD with mid-range, or AD without mid-range.

  22. Look at the 2020 highlights. Even then its night and day difference compared to now
