  1. This is in addition to a) $7.4M of their Mid Level Exception (pending BB is on the roster) , b) Full $4.5M Bi Annual Exception, c) $7.49M Trade Exception (Dillon Brooks Trade)

    DPE can be used for a) one-year contract for a FA, b) trade for a player in the **last year** of their contract c) claim waived player. Also **does not** grant a roster spot.

    Only reason Memphis would use this, that I can think of, is the expiration date is prior to the TPE expiration date and they plan on using both. Interesting they didn’t get one (didn’t apply for one?) for Brandon Clarke yet.

    Maybe they use it maybe they don’t
