  1. Masai only edges…her rarely climaxes unless it’s to give San Antonio a first

Unsurprising, but the question is how interested? Are they willing to part ways with additional draft capital here?

I have to imagine they want to try and sell Chicago on salary relief in the form of some combo of GTJ/Thad/Otto/Precious/Malachi. All of them are expiring and you can match LaVine’s salary with a combination of 4 of them. You can include Boucher but he’s not an expiring (but they might not mind that if they can flip him for more assets).

But the real thing is draft picks. We have 2 firsts we can trade right now (2028 and 2030) due to the protections on the pick we owe to SAS. Are we really going to trade more firsts?

Now the other alternative is finding a 3-team deal where Pascal goes somewhere (GSW, IND, etc.), LaVine to Toronto, and assets from the 3rd team to Chicago. The only real reasons you would want this is (a) LaVine is under contract so you don’t have the risk of Pascal walking (although you could just extend him and that risk is gone…); and (b) even tho he’s around the same age as Pascal, he’s a better fit with Scottie.

IMO if you trade Pascal it should be to get young assets that can develop and grow with Scottie, not to get another max player who’s 28 and has an injury history.

Masai doesn’t want to sell, at this point if you want to win might as well add someone who will help the team win and fits alongside Scottie like Lavine

  4. Ssstanimal

I’m interested. He would boost the half court offence of this team exponentially.

Shams please learn how to pronounce Anunoby correctly

“They’re expected to have some level of interest”… what the hell kind of make shit up on the spot reporting is this?

“We all assume the raptors are maybe weighing the potential of possibly completing this trade” is that how it’s done?

  7. WorldTwisting

GTJ + Boucher + one FRP + filler.

If that doesn’t get it done move on

  8. UjiriWatcher

Masai will just waste every ones time. Don’t worry about this

  9. 555mister

Awful decision. Even if you somehow get him for cheap of just salaries and frps, we’re gonna pay OG, Siakam and Lavine maxes? And then Scottie gets the max two years later? Going into the luxury tax for a team where if Scottie doesn’t become a superstar is a second round exit at best?

As someone who watches *a lot* of Bulls games (cuz of Demar), I promise you Zach Lavine is not a winning player.

  11. LostPants7

it would be bigger news if we WEREN’T interested in trading for him

  12. motherseffinjones

We wouldn’t have to give up much in terms of assets with that contract. If we trade some of our forwards that can’t shoot Thad, Boucher, etc then maybe it could work. This team needs shooting and he would fix that issue

This sub if Masai makes the trade: TREADMILL AHH TEAM, GIVING UP PICKS FOR A MID PLAYER, FUCKIN GUY SUCKS

If Lavine gets traded the moment he has a 30 point game: MASAI FUMBLED, COULD HAVE HAD LAVINE, NOT ALLOWED TO SAY ANYTHING BAD

  14. flippantenthusiast11

Everyone complaining about treadmill move but depending on the cost this could elevate our stagnate ass half court offence nicely.
    It’s all about cost though

  15. Eastern-Technology84

When is he gonna figure out how to pronounce Anunoby

  16. Loud_Examination_138

I think i learned my lesson from dame to not even pay attention to any raptor trade rumors lol. I dont know if Lavine would be a good fit though

  17. NinfthWonder

Zach LaVine would drive y’all fucking crazy lol.

  18. kevin_lam1203

Don’t worry. We just being used as trade leverage as usual.

  19. ThatDamnKyle

Why….? God. I give up. LaVine is a major injury risk, needs the ball in his hand to be effective, and would hurt our horrible depth even more.
