The Phoenix Suns escape with a win and defeated the Utah Jazz, 140-137, in 2OT. Kevin Durant recorded a game high 39 points, along with a season-high 10 assists, and 8 rebounds for the Suns, with Devin Booker adding 26 points and 8 assists in the victory. Lauri Markkanen tallied a season-high 38 points and 17 rebounds for the Jazz. The Suns improve to 7-6 in the regular season, while the Jazz fall to 4-9.

This is the first instance in NBA history the Suns and Jazz have faced off in 2OT in the regular season.

  1. The Suns won tonight because of the role players surrounding Durant and Booker.

    Teams will do all they can to stop those two, which means everyone else has to make them pay, and they did.

    This supporting cast is what the Suns were missing last season.
