The whole point is to take time off the clock. If they don't foul you immediately, then you are taught to pass the ball to the open man to keep time running. Unless there is a specific situation and the team is actively trying to foul you. Yes, the Rockets were trying to foul but they weren't really doing a good job of it. So in that situation again, LeBron did the right thing by passing to an open laker in the back court to advance the ball. They have to stop trying to put spin on everything, its ridiculous.
