I think they might win the championship in the following years.
I do not want to be a Debbie Downer but a best of 7 series is way different than a regular season game. OKC still needs a rebounder. One of Chet's glaring weaknesses is his rebounding.
They have two times Europes MVP Micić who plays just couple of minutes per game.. They are too good, for me they're contenders.. Crazy talents and quality bench, and they'll be better and better as season goes on..
OKC is not a contender. they not "scary". Im not alarmed of they warnings. 🤣
Thunder fan <<< they are progressing. Adding Chet was going to be huge and we are seeing that now. They probably will struggle in a 7-game series against a contender. Their youth will show there but they are where they need to be and still getting better.
The biggest thing is their war chest of draft picks and young role players. They can literally go trade for anyone in league to add to this roster. I think they need a traditionally sized Big. I hope they take a run at Myles Turner or Jonas Valančiūnas. Even a small move for Kelly Olynyk could push them forward. This team is going to compete. It is just a matter of how soon…

15 games can give you a good idea of what a team will be for that season but you really want wait for the 25 game mark.
Not saying the eval on okc is wrong. I took a lot of shit this preseason when i said theyll win 50 to 55 games and be a 3 seed, most likely second round exit and then next season is the true contending season.
But we wait for the 25 game mark because by then we wont see averages dramatically change and our schedule will have allowed for us to have played multiples of every team type. Not just in style or construction but in expectations and team ability.
