How does Powell still get playing time? Does he just dominate Holmes, or Morris, in practice? The bench lineup of 4 Guards and D. Powell?? TERRIBLE IDEA!! My thoughts is play Prosper/Holmes with the bench lineup, give them some size and athleticism at least.
Well, Gobert in Utah was the lone Bigg. It takes 2 Biggs to truly defend the paint, as you see he is now paired with KAT in Minnesota. If you have 2 Biggs working in tandem, like Bucks, Nuggets etc … perimeter scorers will think twice, are deterred, about coming into the paint. Therefore, it's easier to defend the perimeter with that drive-option off the table, or at least with them second guessing. This small-ball, aka only 1 Bigg, system is Kidds philosophy. It's his choice. Mavs need a backup, ligit Center.

They don't play defense in the NBA.
The Mavs defense wouldn’t look so bad if they weren’t limiting Luka. This new passive Luka is letting people beat him that he would never have let beat him before.
